5. Setup and Installation

Safety Warning: Installation should be performed by a qualified individual. Ensure power is disconnected before wiring to prevent electric shock.

5.1 Wiring Instructions

The timer features 5 spade terminals for input power and output control. Refer to the wiring diagram below for correct connections.

  • Terminals 1 & 2: Input power (12V DC/AC). Connect your power source here.
  • Terminal 3: Common (COM) for the relay output.
  • Terminal 4: Normally Open (NO) contact. The circuit is closed when the timer is ON.
  • Terminal 5: Normally Closed (NC) contact. The circuit is open when the timer is ON.

Use the provided spade connecting wires to ensure secure connections. An example of connected wires is shown below.

5.2 Mounting

The timer is designed for panel installation. Use the included mounting bracket and screws to secure the unit in place. Ensure adequate ventilation around the timer.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Setting Current Time

  1. Press the CLOCK button.
  2. While holding CLOCK, press DAY to set the current day of the week.
  3. While holding CLOCK, press HOUR to set the current hour.
  4. While holding CLOCK, press MIN to set the current minute.
  5. Release the CLOCK button. The time is now set.

6.2 Programming ON/OFF Events

The timer allows for up to 28 ON/OFF programs. Follow these steps to set a program:

  1. Press the TIMER button once. The display will show "1 ON".
  2. Press DAY to select the day(s) for this ON event. You can choose individual days, blocks of days (e.g., Mon-Fri), or all 7 days.
  3. Press HOUR to set the desired hour for the ON event.
  4. Press MIN to set the desired minute for the ON event.
  5. Press TIMER again. The display will show "1 OFF".
  6. Repeat steps 2-4 to set the day(s), hour, and minute for the corresponding OFF event.
  7. Continue pressing TIMER to cycle through "2 ON", "2 OFF", and so on, up to "28 OFF", setting each program as needed.
  8. After setting all desired programs, press the CLOCK button to return to the current time display.

To clear a program, press the R (Reset) button while viewing the specific ON or OFF program you wish to clear. This will set the time to "--:--".

6.3 Manual Mode Operation

The MANUAL button allows you to override programmed settings temporarily:

  • Press MANUAL repeatedly to cycle through modes: ON (always on), AUTO (follows programmed schedule), OFF (always off).
  • Select AUTO for the timer to execute your programmed schedules.

6.4 12/24 Hour Format

To switch between 12-hour (AM/PM) and 24-hour formats, press the HOUR button while holding the CLOCK button.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Battery Replacement

The timer includes an internal battery for backup power to retain settings. If the display becomes dim or settings are lost frequently, the battery may need replacement.

  1. Ensure the timer is disconnected from all power sources.
  2. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the unit.
  3. Carefully open the compartment using the provided disassembly tool or a small screwdriver.
  4. Remove the old button-cell battery. Note its orientation.
  5. Insert a new, compatible button-cell battery (e.g., CR2032) with the correct polarity.
  6. Close the battery compartment securely.
  7. Reconnect power and reset the current time and programs if necessary.

8. Troubleshooting
