10. Troubleshooting

  • Device not connecting to Wi-Fi:
    - Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4 GHz. The device does not support 5 GHz Wi-Fi.
    - Check if the Wi-Fi signal is strong enough at the device's location.
    - Restart your Wi-Fi router and the smart switch module.
    - Ensure correct Wi-Fi password is entered in the app.
    - Try resetting the device (refer to app instructions for reset procedure, usually involves holding the pairing button).
  • RF Remote not working:
    - Check if the battery in the remote control is dead (CR2032). Replace if necessary.
    - Ensure the remote is properly paired with the module (refer to Section 6.4).
    - Check for any obstructions between the remote and the module.
  • Device not responding to commands:
    - Check the power supply to the module.
    - Verify that the device is online in the Tuya Smart/Smart Life app.
    - Ensure the connected appliance is functioning correctly and its wiring to the relay is secure.
  • Relay clicking but appliance not turning on/off:
    - This indicates the relay is switching, but there might be an issue with the wiring to the appliance or the appliance itself. Check all connections and the appliance's functionality.
