Operating Instructions

How to Vacuum Seal

1. Prepare Food: Place your desired food item into the glass container. Ensure the container is not overfilled and the rim is clean and dry.
2. Close the Lid: Place the lid firmly onto the container. Press down around the edges to ensure a snug fit.
3. Engage the Valve: On the center of the lid, locate the grey valve. Push this valve all the way down to prepare for sealing.
4. Start Sealing: Position the handheld Chef Preserve vacuum sealer directly over the grey valve on the lid. Press down gently and activate the sealer. The device will begin to extract air from the container.
5. Complete Seal: The vacuum sealer will automatically stop once a sufficient vacuum has been achieved. Remove the sealer from the lid. The container is now airtight.

How to Open a Sealed Container

To release the vacuum and open the container:

• Locate the grey valve on the center of the lid.
• Gently pull the valve upwards until you hear a 'hissing' sound, indicating air re-entering the container.
• Once the air is released, the lid can be easily removed.

Date Tracking Feature

Each lid features a manual date dial. You can rotate the outer ring to select the month (1-12) and the inner ring to select the day (1-31). This allows you to track when the food was sealed or when it should be consumed by, helping to manage food freshness effectively.
