Updated Reptile Mister Instruction Manual

Brand: REPTITRIP | Model: PL203-A

1. Introduction and Product Overview

The REPTITRIP Updated Reptile Mister is an advanced humidification system designed to maintain optimal humidity levels for reptiles, amphibians, and rainforest plants within terrariums and tanks. This device features both automatic timer-based spraying and manual spray functions, ensuring a healthy and comfortable environment for your pets and plants.

Key features include a programmable timer for precise misting intervals and durations, 360-degree adjustable nozzles for comprehensive coverage, and a memory function that retains settings even after power interruptions. Its design allows for easy water addition from an external reservoir, eliminating the need for frequent refills.

2. Package Contents

Please verify that all the following components are included in your package:

3. Setup Instructions

  1. Prepare Water Reservoir: The system does not include a water tank. Prepare an external bucket or container with sufficient water. Ensure the water is clean and suitable for your specific reptile or plant needs.
  2. Connect Water Intake: Insert the filter end of the hose into your water reservoir. Connect the other end of this hose to the "IN" port on the REPTITRIP mister unit. Ensure the connection is secure to prevent leaks.
  3. Connect Nozzles: Attach the provided nozzles to the "OUT" ports on the mister unit. Connect the remaining hose length to the nozzles, routing it into your terrarium or tank. The nozzles can be adjusted 360 degrees to direct the mist as needed.
  4. Position the Mister: Place the REPTITRIP mister unit higher than the water level of your reservoir. This is crucial to prevent siphoning, which can lead to water leaks and improper operation. The included suction cups can be used to attach the unit to the side of a glass terrarium if desired.
  5. Power Connection: Connect the USB Type-C cable to the mister unit and then to the power adapter. Plug the power adapter into a standard 120V electrical outlet.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Timer Function Programming

The REPTITRIP mister allows for precise control over misting schedules. Only four parameters need to be set for automatic operation:

The device features a memory program that automatically remembers your previous settings even if power is lost. The built-in super capacitor ensures the clock remains consistent with the current time once power is restored, eliminating the need for manual reset.

4.2 Manual Spray Function

In addition to the automatic timer, the REPTITRIP mister supports a manual operation mode. Refer to the user interface on the device for instructions on initiating a manual spray cycle.

4.3 Nozzle Adjustment

The included nozzles are designed with 360-degree rotation capability. This allows you to precisely adjust the angle and direction of the mist to ensure optimal coverage within your terrarium or tank. Simply rotate the nozzle head to achieve the desired spray pattern and range.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your REPTITRIP Reptile Mister.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your REPTITRIP Reptile Mister, refer to the common problems and solutions below:

ProblemPossible Cause / Solution
Water leaks from the IN & OUT port.Ensure the cut end of the tube is smooth and even. Insert the tube into the port as far as it can go to create a secure seal.
Water leaks from the connection (e.g., between hose and nozzle).Verify that the cut end of the tube is smooth and even. Insert the tube firmly into the connector as far as it can go.
Water drips from the nozzle after misting stops. This is normal. There may be residual water in the line after the pump stops, but not enough to continue spraying mist. If excessive dripping occurs, ensure all connections are tight.
Mister is not spraying or has weak mist.Check water reservoir level. Ensure filter is not clogged. Verify all hose connections are secure and there are no kinks in the tubing. Ensure the pump unit is placed higher than the water reservoir to prevent siphoning issues.
Timer settings are lost after power outage. The device has a memory function. Ensure the super capacitor has enough charge. If the issue persists, manually reset the time and program.
