Setup

  1. Prepare the Valve: Locate the air valve on your bicycle's front fork, rear shock, or seat tube. Remove any protective caps.
  2. Connect the Pump: The ThinkRider Shock Pump is compatible with both Presta and Schrader valves. Firmly screw the pump's connector onto the valve stem until it is securely attached and no air is leaking.
  3. Check Initial Pressure: Once connected, the gauge will display the current air pressure in your suspension component.

Operating Instructions

  1. Inflating: Hold the pump firmly and extend the T-handle. Begin pumping by pushing and pulling the handle. Observe the pressure gauge as you pump.
  2. Monitor Pressure: Continue pumping until the desired PSI (or Bar) is reached. Refer to your bicycle manufacturer's recommendations for optimal pressure settings based on your weight and riding style.
  3. Fine-Tuning (Bleed Button): If you over-inflate or need to make small adjustments, gently press the red bleed button located near the gauge. This will release small amounts of air, allowing for precise pressure setting.
  4. Detaching the Pump: Once the desired pressure is achieved, unscrew the pump connector from the valve stem. The anti-leak design minimizes air loss during detachment. Reinstall the protective valve cap.

Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your ThinkRider Shock Pump, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Wipe the pump clean with a soft, dry cloth after each use to remove dirt and debris. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Storage: Store the pump in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Collapse the T-handle for compact storage.
  • Inspection: Periodically check the hose and connectors for any signs of wear or damage. Ensure the valve cap is always replaced on your bike's suspension to prevent dirt ingress.

Troubleshooting

  • Air Leakage During Pumping: Ensure the pump connector is fully and securely threaded onto the valve stem. Check the valve core on your suspension for any damage or looseness.
  • Inaccurate Gauge Reading: Ensure the pump is properly connected. If readings are consistently off, the gauge may need calibration or replacement.
  • Difficulty Pumping: High-pressure pumps require more effort as pressure increases. Ensure the pump is clean and free of obstructions. If resistance is unusually high at low pressures, check for internal issues.
