4. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to assemble your Glitzhome water fountain:

1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging and place them on a soft, clean surface to prevent scratches.
2. Position the Base: Place the ceramic fountain base (pedestal) in your desired outdoor location. Ensure the surface is level and stable.
3. Connect the Pump: Locate the submersible pump and the tubing extending from the fountain's top bowl. Connect the pump to the end of the tubing. Ensure a secure fit to prevent leaks. If there is an integrated LED light, ensure its cable is also properly routed and connected if separate from the pump.
4. Place the Top Bowl: Carefully lift the top bowl and place it onto the fountain base. Guide the tubing and pump into the reservoir within the base. It may require careful alignment to ensure the top bowl sits squarely and the internal tube connects correctly to the pump.
5. Fill with Water: Fill the fountain with distilled water until the pump is fully submerged. The fountain has a water capacity of approximately 11 liters (2.9 gallons). Do not overfill.
6. Connect Power: Plug the power adapter into a standard 110V 60Hz outdoor electrical outlet. The fountain will begin to operate. The power cord is 6 ft long.

5. Operating Instructions

Once assembled and filled with water, plug the fountain into a suitable outdoor power outlet. The pump will start circulating water, and the LED light will illuminate.

• Water Level: Regularly check the water level. Due to evaporation, especially in warm weather, the water level will decrease. Refill as needed to ensure the pump remains fully submerged. Operating the pump dry can cause damage.
• LED Light: The fountain includes a 0.3W warm white LED light. This light operates when the fountain is plugged in. There is no separate on/off switch for the light. For timed operation, an external outdoor timer can be used.
• Placement: The fountain is suitable for various outdoor surfaces including concrete, grass, stone, and wood.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your fountain.

• Cleaning: Clean the fountain and pump regularly to prevent mineral buildup and algae growth. Disconnect power before cleaning. Remove the top bowl and pump. Clean the pump impeller and housing with a small brush. Wipe down the ceramic surfaces with a soft cloth and mild soap solution. Rinse thoroughly.
• Water Changes: Change the water periodically, especially if it appears cloudy or dirty.
• Winterization: During freezing temperatures, it is crucial to drain all water from the fountain. Disconnect the pump and store it indoors in a dry, frost-free location. The ceramic fountain itself should also be stored indoors or covered to protect it from freezing and cracking.

Note on Cleaning Difficulty:

Due to the design, cleaning the internal components and reattaching the pump to the tubing can be challenging. It may be easier with two people: one to hold the top bowl while the other connects the pump to the tube and positions the components within the base.
