3. Setup

3.1 Installation

The Fitpolo Smart Lock is suitable for door thicknesses ranging from 40mm to 65mm. It supports universal left/right door orientation, which can be adjusted during installation.

1. Prepare the Door: Ensure your door meets the specified thickness requirements.
2. Install Mortise Lock: Insert the mortise lock body into the door edge.
3. Adjust Handle Direction (if needed):
   • Step 1: Unscrew the retaining screws on the handle unit.
   • Step 2: Rotate the handle to the desired direction (left or right).
   • Step 3: Tighten the screws to secure the new handle direction.
4. Mount External and Internal Units: Connect the external and internal handle units through the door, ensuring all cables are properly routed and connected.
5. Secure with Screws: Fasten all screws to secure the lock firmly to the door.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Unlocking Methods

• Fingerprint Unlock: Place your registered finger on the fingerprint sensor. The lock will unlock if the fingerprint is recognized.
• Password Unlock: Enter your registered password on the keypad, followed by the '#' key.
• IC Card Unlock: Present a registered IC card to the card reader area on the lock.
• Mechanical Key Unlock: Insert the mechanical key into the emergency keyhole and turn to unlock. This method is for emergency use or when batteries are depleted.
• App Unlock (Remote): Use the Tuya Smart App on your smartphone to remotely unlock the door.

4.2 Remote Control via Tuya App

4.3 Temporary Passwords

4.4 Virtual Passwords

To enhance security, you can enter random digits before or after your actual password. This feature, known as a virtual password, prevents others from guessing your code by observing your finger movements on the keypad.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Battery Replacement

The lock requires 4 AA batteries (not included) and has a battery life of up to 9 months. When the battery level is low, the lock will issue a warning. Replace all four batteries promptly to ensure continuous operation.

• Open the battery compartment on the internal handle unit.
• Remove the old batteries and insert new AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
• Close the battery compartment securely.

In case of complete battery depletion, you can use the mechanical key or connect a power bank via the USB emergency power port to temporarily power the lock.
