1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Bukumo 5.0 Cubic Large Home Safe. This safe is designed to provide robust security for your valuables, important documents, and personal items. Featuring fireproof and waterproof capabilities, a digital keypad, and an alarm system, it offers reliable protection against theft and environmental damage. Please read this manual thoroughly before setup and operation to ensure proper use and maximum security.

3. Package Contents

4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

  1. Locate the external battery case (usually a small black box with a wire).
  2. Insert 4 AA batteries (not included) into the external battery case, ensuring correct polarity.
  3. Plug the connector from the battery case into the port on the digital keypad.

Note: The external battery case is designed to power the keypad from the outside, preventing issues if internal batteries run out while the safe is locked.

4.2 Initial Opening

For the first use, or if you forget your password, use the emergency key:

  1. Locate the keyhole cover on the keypad panel.
  2. Gently remove the cover to expose the keyhole.
  3. Insert one of the emergency keys and turn it clockwise while simultaneously turning the handle to open the safe door.
  4. Keep your emergency keys in a secure location outside the safe.

4.3 Mounting the Safe

The safe can be securely mounted to a wall or floor using the provided expansion screws. This significantly enhances security against theft.

  1. Choose a suitable location for the safe, ensuring it is on a stable surface or against a solid wall.
  2. Inside the safe, locate the pre-drilled holes on the back and/or bottom panels.
  3. Mark the drilling points on the wall or floor through these holes.
  4. Drill holes at the marked points using an appropriate drill bit (not included).
  5. Align the safe with the drilled holes and insert the expansion screws.
  6. Tighten the screws firmly to secure the safe in place.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Setting/Changing the Digital Code

  1. With the safe door open, press the red reset button located on the inside of the door (usually near the hinge). The keypad will beep, and the indicator light will flash.
  2. Enter your desired new code (3-8 digits) on the keypad.
  3. Press the "#" or "ENTER" button to confirm. The keypad will beep again, and the light will stop flashing, indicating the code has been successfully set.
  4. Test the new code with the door open before closing it.

5.2 Opening with the Digital Code

  1. Enter your personal digital code on the keypad.
  2. Press the "#" or "ENTER" button. The keypad will beep, and the green indicator light will illuminate.
  3. Within 5 seconds, turn the handle clockwise to open the safe door.

5.3 Closing and Locking the Safe

  1. Close the safe door firmly.
  2. Turn the handle counter-clockwise to engage the locking bolts. The safe is now locked.

5.4 Anti-Theft Alarm System

The safe is equipped with a dual alarm system:

  • Incorrect Password Alarm: If an incorrect password is entered 3 consecutive times, the alarm will activate for 20 seconds, and the keypad will lock temporarily.
  • Vibration/Tamper Alarm: If the safe experiences violent vibration or attempted forced entry, the alarm will sound.

To enter silent mode (mute keypad sounds and alarm):

  • Long press the "I" key on the keypad to toggle silent mode on/off.
  • Alternatively, input "663" on the keypad to enter silent mode.

5.5 Sensor Light

The safe features a built-in sensor LED light that automatically illuminates the interior when the door is opened, making it easier to access your valuables in low-light conditions.

6. Maintenance

  • Battery Replacement: Replace the AA batteries in the external battery case when the keypad display becomes dim or unresponsive. Always use new, high-quality batteries.
  • Cleaning: Clean the exterior of the safe with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish.
  • Key Care: Store emergency keys in a secure, separate location away from the safe. Do not store them inside the safe.
  • Interior: Periodically check the interior for moisture or debris and clean as needed.

7. Troubleshooting
