1. Setup
The COFFMETER A1 Coffee Roast Degree Analyzer is designed for precise measurement of coffee beans and grounds. Before first use, ensure the device is charged and calibrated.
1.1 Unboxing and Components
Your COFFMETER A1 comes in a protective case containing the main analyzer unit, a dual-sided sample tray, a calibration pad, a USB-C charging cable, and cleaning tools.

1.2 Charging the Device
The analyzer is an electronic device and requires charging. Use the provided USB-C cable to charge the unit. The charging port is located on the device. A full charge ensures optimal performance.
1.3 Initial Calibration
For accurate measurements, calibrate the device using the provided calibration pad. Access the calibration function through the device's menu. Place the analyzer on the calibration pad and follow the on-screen instructions.

2. Operating Instructions
The COFFMETER A1 offers precise analysis for both whole beans and coffee grounds.
2.1 Measuring Roast Degree (Whole Beans)
- Select the deep side of the dual-sided sample tray.
- Fill the tray with a single layer of whole coffee beans.
- Place the COFFMETER A1 analyzer directly on top of the filled tray.
- Power on the device and select the 'Roast' function from the menu.
- Press 'Test' to initiate the measurement. Results will be displayed in approximately 3 seconds, showing the Agtron value and roast level.
2.2 Measuring Roast Degree (Coffee Grounds)
- Select the shallow side of the dual-sided sample tray.
- Fill the tray with a thin, even layer of coffee grounds.
- Place the COFFMETER A1 analyzer directly on top of the filled tray.
- Power on the device and select the 'Roast' function from the menu.
- Press 'Test' to initiate the measurement. Results will be displayed in approximately 3 seconds, showing the Agtron value and roast level.

2.3 Particle Size Analysis (Coffee Grounds)
The device can also analyze the particle size distribution of coffee grounds.
- Place a small amount of coffee grounds onto the designated vibration plate.
- Place the COFFMETER A1 analyzer on top of the plate.
- Power on the device and select the 'Particle' function from the menu.
- Press 'Test'. The device will vibrate to distribute the grounds evenly and then display the particle size distribution, including ratios and counts for different coarseness levels.

2.4 Interpreting Results
The device displays Agtron values (0-150) and corresponding roast levels (e.g., Light, Medium, French). For particle analysis, it shows the distribution across different size categories. Use these metrics to refine your roasting and grinding processes for consistent coffee quality.
2.5 Smart App Connectivity
Connect the COFFMETER A1 to its smart app via Bluetooth for cloud data recording and analysis of roasting curves. This allows for long-term tracking and enhancement of coffee quality.

4. Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures accurate readings and extends the lifespan of your device. Use the provided cleaning brushes to gently remove any coffee residue from the sample tray and sensor area. Keep the device dust-free.

If you suspect inaccurate readings, perform a recalibration using the provided calibration pad as described in Section 1.3. Ensure the device and samples are at a stable room temperature and the sample area is clean.
