4. Setup Guide
Follow these steps to set up your KKH GT-300 WiFi Repeater Extender.
4.1 Initial Placement
For optimal performance, place the extender in a location that is roughly halfway between your main router and the area where you need extended Wi-Fi coverage. Avoid placing it too close to the router (which might not extend the signal effectively) or too far (where it might not receive a strong enough signal from the original router).

Optimal placement for the extender is in the middle between your router and the Wi-Fi dead zone.
4.2 Setup via WPS (Recommended)
The easiest way to set up your extender is using the WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) button.
- Plug the KKH GT-300 extender into a power socket next to your router.
- Wait until the Wireless LED on the extender starts flickering.
- Press the WPS button on your main router.
- Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on the KKH GT-300 extender.
- The extender will automatically connect to your router. Once connected, the Extension LED will light up solid, indicating a successful connection.

Press the WPS button on both the router and the extender for a quick connection.
4.3 Manual Setup via Smartphone/Computer
If your router does not support WPS, or if you prefer manual configuration, follow these steps:
- Plug the KKH GT-300 extender into a power socket near your router.
- On your smartphone or computer, go to Wi-Fi settings and find the network named "KP300_xxxxxx" (where xxxxxx is part of the device's MAC address). Connect to this network.
- Open a web browser (if it doesn't automatically redirect) and enter
192.168.18.1in the address bar. - Tap "LOGIN" on the login page.
- Select "Repeater Mode" from the options.
- The extender will scan for available Wi-Fi networks. Select the wireless signal you wish to expand from the list.
- Enter your original router's Wi-Fi password in the provided field. You can choose to keep the extended Wi-Fi name the same or have a new name created with "-plus" at the end.
- Tap "NEXT" and then "Finish Settings" to complete the setup.
- The device will reboot. Once complete, reselect and reconnect to your extender's new Wi-Fi network (e.g., "XXXXXX-plus"). The Extension LED on the extender will light up solid.

5. Operating Modes
The KKH GT-300 supports two primary operating modes:
5.1 Repeater Mode
In Repeater Mode, the device extends the range of your existing Wi-Fi network. It receives the wireless signal from your main router and re-broadcasts it, effectively expanding coverage to areas with weak or no signal.
5.2 AP (Access Point) Mode
In AP Mode, the device converts a wired internet connection into a wireless network. This is useful if you have an Ethernet jack or cable but no router, allowing you to create a new Wi-Fi access point.

6. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your KKH GT-300 WiFi Repeater Extender, consider the following maintenance tips:
- Keep it Ventilated: Ensure the device is placed in an area with good airflow to prevent overheating.
- Clean Regularly: Gently wipe the exterior with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. Do not use liquid cleaners.
- Firmware Updates: Check the manufacturer's website periodically for firmware updates. Updates can improve performance, add features, and enhance security.
- Avoid Extreme Conditions: Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, humidity, or direct sunlight.
- Power Cycle: If you experience intermittent issues, try unplugging the extender from the power outlet for 10-15 seconds and then plugging it back in. This can often resolve minor glitches.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your KKH GT-300, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- No Internet Connection After Setup:
- Ensure the extender is placed within the range of your main router.
- Verify that you entered the correct Wi-Fi password for your main router during setup.
- Try power cycling both your main router and the extender.
- If using Repeater Mode, ensure your main router has an active internet connection. - Weak Signal or Frequent Disconnections:
- Relocate the extender to a more central position between your router and the desired coverage area.
- Check for physical obstructions (thick walls, large metal objects) that might interfere with the signal.
- Ensure the extender's antennas are properly oriented.
- Reduce the number of connected devices if experiencing slowdowns. - Cannot Access Setup Page (192.168.18.1):
- Make sure your device (smartphone/computer) is connected to the extender's default Wi-Fi network (e.g., "KP300_xxxxxx").
- Clear your browser's cache and cookies, or try a different browser.
- Temporarily disable any VPN or firewall software on your device. - Forgot Extender's Wi-Fi Password:
- If you chose to create a new Wi-Fi name with "-plus" at the end, the password is the same as your original router's password.
- If you changed the password during setup and forgot it, you will need to perform a factory reset. - Factory Reset:
- With the extender powered on, use a paperclip or a thin object to press and hold the Reset button (usually a small pinhole) for about 8-10 seconds until the lights flash. The extender will then revert to its factory default settings, and you will need to set it up again.
