Setup

Setting up your Hyperkin Hyper Strummer is quick and easy, as it utilizes your existing Wii Remote for power and wireless connectivity.

  1. Ensure your Wii Remote (not included) has working batteries.
  2. Locate the Wii Remote insert slot on the back of the Hyper Strummer guitar controller.
  3. Carefully slide your Wii Remote into the insert slot until it is securely seated. The guitar will draw power directly from the Wii Remote.
  4. Connect the Nunchuk port of the Wii Remote to the corresponding port on the guitar controller, if applicable for your game or setup.
  5. Power on your Wii console and launch your desired Guitar Hero or Rock Band game.
  6. The Hyper Strummer should automatically connect via the Wii Remote. If not, follow the standard Wii Remote syncing procedure (press the SYNC button on the Wii console and then on the Wii Remote inside the guitar).

No additional batteries or power adapters are needed for the Hyper Strummer itself.

  • Directional Stick: Typically used for menu navigation and selecting options within the game.
  • Select/Start Buttons: Used for pausing the game, navigating menus, and confirming selections.
  • Wii Remote Insert: Houses the Wii Remote, which acts as the wireless transmitter and power source for the guitar.

Refer to your specific game's instructions for detailed gameplay mechanics and advanced techniques.

Maintenance

Proper care and maintenance will help extend the life of your Hyperkin Hyper Strummer.

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the surface of the guitar. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the finish.
  • Storage: Store the guitar in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for an extended period, it is recommended to remove the Wii Remote from the guitar.
  • Handling: Avoid dropping the guitar or subjecting it to strong impacts. Do not attempt to disassemble the unit, as this will void any potential warranty and may cause damage.
