Descaling (Hard Water Areas)

Hard water can lead to mineral buildup. Regular descaling is recommended to maintain performance.

  • Moderately Hard Water Areas: Descale monthly.
  • Hard to Very Hard Water Areas: Descale every two to three weeks.
  • Suggestion: Using purified or bottled water can reduce mineral buildup.

To descale, use a descaling solution suitable for ice makers or a mixture of water and white vinegar. Follow the instructions provided with the descaling solution or use a 1:1 ratio of white vinegar to water. Run the self-cleaning cycle with the descaling solution, then drain and rinse thoroughly with clean water by running several self-cleaning cycles with only water.
