3. Setup

3.1 Mounting Options

The NETVUE Peekababy camera offers versatile installation options to suit various crib types and room layouts. Choose the method that best fits your needs:

  • Wall Mount: Securely attach the camera to a wall above the crib for an overhead view.
  • Crib Clip Mount: Use the adjustable clamp to attach the camera directly to the crib rail.
  • Desktop Stand: Place the camera on a flat surface near the crib using its flexible stand.
  • Winding Mount: Wrap the flexible stand around a sturdy object, such as a crib post, for a secure fit.

3.2 Powering On and App Connection

  1. Connect the USB charging cable to the camera and the power adapter.
  2. Plug the power adapter into a wall outlet. The camera will power on automatically.
  3. Download the NETVUE app from your smartphone's app store (available for Android).
  4. Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to create an account and add your Peekababy camera. Ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network (5GHz is not supported).
  5. Once connected, you will see the live video feed from your camera.

4. Operating the NETVUE Peekababy Camera

4.1 Live Monitoring and Alerts

Once connected, the NETVUE app provides a live video feed of your baby. The camera features real-time motion detection and instant alerts, notifying you of any activity. You can customize alert sensitivity within the app.

4.2 Two-Way Talk

Engage in seamless two-way communication with your baby directly through the app. This feature allows you to soothe your baby with your voice from another room or even when you are away from home.

4.3 Night Vision and Lullabies

The camera is equipped with clear night vision, allowing you to monitor your baby in low-light conditions without disturbance. You can also play preset lullabies through the camera to help your baby fall asleep or calm down.

4.4 Sleep Analysis and Environmental Monitoring

The app provides detailed sleep quality analysis, tracking wakefulness, light sleep, and deep sleep patterns. It also monitors real-time environmental insights such as temperature and humidity in the baby's room.

4.5 Recording and Sharing Moments

Capture and archive your baby's precious moments. The camera supports cloud storage (30-day retention) and MicroSD card storage (not included). You can also share live streams with family and friends, allowing up to 20 people to connect simultaneously.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

To clean the camera and monitor unit, use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol sprays, as these may damage the device. Ensure the camera lens is free of dust and smudges for optimal video clarity.

5.2 Software Updates

Periodically check the NETVUE app for available firmware updates for your camera. Keeping the firmware updated ensures optimal performance, security, and access to new features.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your NETVUE Peekababy camera, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

    • Verify that motion and sound detection are enabled in the app settings.
    • Adjust the sensitivity levels for motion and sound detection.
    • Check your phone's notification settings to ensure the NETVUE app is allowed to send alerts.
