1. Introduction
This manual provides essential instructions for the safe operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your POXURIO 2550-Watt Portable Inverter Generator. Please read this manual thoroughly before operating the generator to ensure proper use and to prevent injury or damage.
The POXURIO 2550-Watt Inverter Generator is designed to provide reliable portable power for various applications, including home backup, camping, and powering professional tools. It features a 2550-watt starting power and a 1.06-gallon fuel tank, offering up to 10 hours of runtime at 25% load.
2. Safety Information
WARNING: Failure to follow these safety instructions could result in serious injury or death.
- Carbon Monoxide Hazard: Generators produce carbon monoxide, a colorless, odorless, poisonous gas. Operate the generator outdoors only, far away from windows, doors, and vents. Never operate indoors, in a garage, or in any enclosed space.
- Fire Hazard: Gasoline is highly flammable. Refuel in a well-ventilated area with the engine off and cool. Do not smoke or allow open flames near the generator. Store fuel in an approved container.
- Electrical Shock Hazard: Do not operate the generator in wet conditions. Ensure all electrical connections are dry and secure. Never touch electrical components with wet hands.
- Hot Surfaces: The generator's engine and muffler become very hot during operation and remain hot for some time after shutdown. Avoid contact with hot surfaces to prevent burns.
- Proper Ventilation: Always ensure adequate airflow around the generator to prevent overheating.
- Children and Pets: Keep children and pets away from the generator at all times.
3. Setup
3.1 Unpacking
Carefully remove the generator and all accessories from the packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
3.2 Adding Engine Oil
The generator is shipped without engine oil. You must add the correct amount and type of oil before first use.
- Place the generator on a level surface.
- Remove the oil filler cap/dipstick.
- Add approximately 0.35 liters of SAE 10W-30 engine oil. Use the included funnel for easier filling.
- Check the oil level using the dipstick; it should be at the upper limit mark.
- Securely replace the oil filler cap/dipstick.
3.3 Adding Fuel
Use only fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher.
- Ensure the generator is off and cool.
- Open the fuel tank cap.
- Carefully pour gasoline into the fuel tank, up to the fill line. The tank capacity is 4 liters (1.06 gallons). Do not overfill.
- Securely close the fuel tank cap.
3.4 Grounding the Generator
For safety, always ground the generator before operation. Connect a grounding wire (not included) from the generator's grounding terminal to a suitable ground source, such as a ground rod.

Figure 1: Control Panel Overview, showing the grounding terminal and various outlets.
4. Operation
4.1 Starting the Engine
- Ensure the generator is on a level surface and properly grounded.
- Turn the fuel cap vent lever to the 'ON' position.
- Turn the 3-in-1 switch knob to the 'CHOKE' position (if the engine is cold). If the engine is warm, turn it to the 'ON' position.
- Firmly grasp the recoil starter handle and pull it slowly until resistance is felt, then pull quickly and smoothly until the engine starts.
- Once the engine starts, slowly move the 3-in-1 switch knob to the 'ON' position.

4.2 Connecting Appliances
Once the engine is running smoothly, you can connect your electrical appliances to the appropriate outlets. Ensure the total wattage of connected devices does not exceed the generator's running wattage (1800W) or starting wattage (2550W) for momentary loads.

Figure 3: Examples of appliances and their typical power requirements that can be powered by the generator.
4.3 ECO Mode
The ECO switch allows the engine speed to automatically adjust to the load, improving fuel efficiency and reducing noise when less power is required. Flip the ECO switch to 'ON' for quieter operation and fuel savings. For full power or starting high-load appliances, switch ECO mode 'OFF'.
4.4 Parallel Operation
This generator is parallel-ready, allowing you to connect two identical POXURIO inverter generators together to double the power output. Refer to the parallel kit instruction manual (sold separately) for detailed connection procedures.

4.5 Stopping the Engine
- Disconnect all electrical loads from the generator.
- Turn the 3-in-1 switch knob to the 'OFF' position.
- Turn the fuel cap vent lever to the 'OFF' position.
5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and safe operation of your generator.
5.1 Maintenance Schedule
| Item | Every Use | Every 25 Hours / Monthly | Every 100 Hours / Annually |
|---|---|---|---|
| Check Engine Oil Level | ✓ | ||
| Change Engine Oil | First 20 hours, then as needed | ✓ | |
| Clean Air Filter | ✓ | ||
| Inspect Spark Plug | ✓ | ||
| Inspect Fuel Filter | ✓ |
5.2 Storage
If storing the generator for an extended period (more than 30 days), proper preparation is essential:
- Drain all fuel from the fuel tank and carburetor. Run the engine until it stops from lack of fuel.
- Change the engine oil.
- Remove the spark plug and pour a small amount of engine oil into the cylinder. Pull the recoil starter a few times to distribute the oil, then reinstall the spark plug.
- Clean the exterior of the generator.
- Store in a clean, dry, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
