Introduction

This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your NGTeco Smart Lock. This electronic lock offers multiple unlocking methods including fingerprint, IC card, mechanical key, and mobile application control, providing enhanced security and convenience for your home or office.

The NGTeco Smart Lock is designed for doors with a thickness ranging from 30mm to 65mm. For doors thicker than 65mm, up to a maximum of 90mm, additional kits are required and included to accommodate the increased thickness.

Setup and Installation

Before beginning installation, ensure your door's thickness is compatible with the lock. The standard range is 30-65mm. For doors between 65-90mm, use the appropriate extension kits provided.

1. Check Door Compatibility and Size

Verify that your door's existing lock mechanism is compatible with the NGTeco Smart Lock. This electronic lock core replaces the mechanical cylinder in your door. It is not suitable for all lock types, particularly those without a standard mechanical cylinder structure.

2. Battery Installation

The NGTeco Smart Lock requires one CR123A Lithium-ion battery (included). Locate the battery compartment, typically on the inner side of the lock cylinder. Insert the battery according to the polarity markings. Ensure the battery is fully seated before proceeding.

3. Physical Installation

1. Remove your existing mechanical lock cylinder from the door.
2. If your door is thicker than 65mm, attach the appropriate extension kit to the NGTeco Smart Lock cylinder.
3. Insert the NGTeco Smart Lock into the cylinder hole of your door.
4. Secure the lock using the provided screws and mounting hardware. Ensure it is firmly in place and operates smoothly.

4. App Download and Initial Setup

Download the "NGTECO Home" application from your smartphone's app store (compatible with iOS and Android). Follow the in-app instructions to register an account and pair your smart lock via Bluetooth. This process typically involves activating Bluetooth on your phone and allowing the app to discover the lock.

Operating Instructions

The NGTeco Smart Lock offers several convenient ways to unlock your door.

1. Fingerprint Unlocking

The lock features an advanced fingerprint recognition system for quick and secure access. To register fingerprints, use the NGTECO Home app. Once registered, simply place your finger on the sensor for instant unlocking. The system boasts a 98% recognition rate and unlocks in approximately 0.5 seconds.

2. IC Card Unlocking

Two IC cards are included with your lock. To use, register the cards through the NGTECO Home app. Once registered, simply tap the IC card against the designated area on the lock to unlock the door.

3. Mechanical Key Unlocking

For emergency situations or as a backup, two mechanical keys are provided. Insert the key into the keyhole and turn to manually unlock the door. This method is crucial in case of battery depletion or electronic malfunction.

4. Mobile Application Unlocking (NGTECO Home App)

The NGTECO Home app provides comprehensive control over your smart lock. Connect via Bluetooth to:

• Bluetooth Unlock: Unlock the door directly from your smartphone when within Bluetooth range.
• Temporary Passwords: Generate one-time or time-limited passwords for guests or service personnel.
• Member Management: Add or remove users, assign fingerprints, and manage IC cards.
• Accessory Management: Manage connected accessories.
• Unlock History: View a log of all unlocking events, including method and timestamp.
• Auto Lock Off: Configure automatic locking settings.
• Error Alarm: Receive notifications for errors or tampering attempts.

Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your NGTeco Smart Lock.

1. Battery Replacement

The lock is powered by one CR123A Lithium-ion battery. When the battery level is low, the lock will provide an audible or visual alert. Replace the battery promptly to avoid being locked out. To replace, open the battery compartment, remove the old battery, and insert a new CR123A battery, observing correct polarity.

In case of a completely dead battery, you can temporarily power the lock using a power bank connected to the USB-C port for emergency unlocking, or use the mechanical key.

2. Cleaning

Clean the exterior of the lock with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or excessive moisture, as these can damage the electronic components or finish. Regularly wipe the fingerprint sensor to ensure accurate readings.

3. Mechanical Components

Periodically check the mechanical components of the lock for any signs of wear or looseness. Ensure all screws are tightened and the lock operates smoothly without obstruction. Do not lubricate the internal electronic components.
