1. Important Safety Instructions

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons, including the following:

  • Read all instructions before using the kettle.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
  • To protect against fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, do not immerse cord, plugs, or the kettle base in water or other liquid.
  • Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
  • Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
  • Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner.
  • The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
  • Do not use outdoors.
  • Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
  • Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
  • Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to 'off', then remove plug from wall outlet.
  • Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
  • Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot water.
  • The kettle is designed for boiling water only. Do not use it for heating other liquids.
  • Ensure the lid is securely closed before operating.

3. Setup & First Use

3.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove all packaging materials from the kettle and its components. Retain packaging for future storage or transport if needed. Ensure all parts are present: kettle, control base, and infuser.

3.2 Initial Cleaning

  1. Before first use, fill the kettle with clean water up to the 'MAX' line.
  2. Boil the water at 212°F.
  3. Discard the boiled water.
  4. Repeat this process 2-3 times to remove any manufacturing residues.
  5. Wipe the exterior of the kettle and the control base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the control base in water.

3.3 Placement

Place the control base on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface. Ensure it is away from the edge of the counter and out of reach of children. Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Filling the Kettle

  1. Remove the kettle from the control base.
  2. Open the lid.
  3. Fill the kettle with fresh, cold water. Do not fill below the 'MIN' line or above the 'MAX' line (1.8L).
  4. Close the lid securely.
  5. Place the kettle back onto the control base.

4.2 Setting Temperature and Boiling

  1. With the kettle on the base, the display will show the current water temperature.
  2. Use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust the desired temperature. The temperature can be set in 5°F increments from 100°F to 212°F.
  3. Press the power button () to start the heating process. The display will show the target temperature and the water will begin to heat.
  4. The kettle will automatically shut off once the target temperature is reached. A beep will sound (unless muted).

4.3 Using the Removable Infuser

  1. Open the kettle lid.
  2. Place your desired loose-leaf tea, fruit, or herbs into the stainless steel infuser.
  3. Insert the infuser into the kettle, ensuring it is properly seated.
  4. Fill the kettle with water and set the desired temperature as described above.
  5. Once the water reaches the set temperature, allow the tea to steep for the recommended time.
  6. Carefully remove the infuser using its handle after steeping. Be cautious as the infuser will be hot.

4.4 Keep Warm Function

The kettle has two keep warm modes:

  • Automatic Keep Warm: After reaching the set temperature, the kettle will automatically maintain the temperature for 10 minutes.
  • Manual Keep Warm: To extend the keep warm period, press the 'HOLD' button after setting the desired temperature. The kettle will keep the water warm for up to 6 hours. This function is not available when the target temperature is 212°F.

4.5 Mute Function

The kettle provides an option to mute the alert sounds. Refer to the control panel for the specific mute button or combination of buttons to activate/deactivate this feature.

5. Care & Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

  1. Always unplug the kettle from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
  3. The removable infuser can be washed with warm, soapy water and rinsed thoroughly.
  4. Do not immerse the control base or the exterior of the kettle in water.
  5. The wide opening of the glass kettle facilitates easy cleaning of the interior.

5.2 Descaling (Removing Limescale)

Limescale can accumulate on the bottom of the kettle over time, especially in areas with hard water. Regular descaling is recommended to maintain performance and extend the life of your kettle.

  1. Fill the kettle with a solution of water and white vinegar (1:1 ratio) or a descaling agent (citric acid) according to the product instructions.
  2. Boil the solution.
  3. Allow the solution to soak in the kettle for at least 30 minutes, or longer for heavy buildup.
  4. Discard the solution and rinse the kettle thoroughly with fresh water several times.
  5. Wipe the interior with a soft cloth if necessary.

6. Troubleshooting
