4. Assembly Instructions (Setup)
Assembly typically requires two people and can be completed in under an hour. A power drill may expedite the process, but an Allen wrench is included.
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging and lay them out on a clean, soft surface to prevent scratches.
- Attach Side Rails to Headboard: Connect the side rails to the headboard using the provided bolts and Allen wrench. Do not fully tighten bolts until all major components are connected.
- Attach Side Rails to Footboard: Connect the other end of the side rails to the footboard.
- Install Center Support Beam: Secure the center support beam to the designated points on the headboard and footboard.
- Attach Support Legs: Screw the 8 support legs into their respective positions on the frame and center beam. Ensure they are firmly attached.
- Place Wooden Slats: Lay the 12 wooden slats across the bed frame. The slats are connected by a fabric strap for easy placement. Ensure even spacing.
- Secure Slats: Use the provided screws to secure each slat to the side rails and center support beam. This step may benefit from a power drill.
- Final Tightening: Once all components are in place, go back and fully tighten all bolts and screws.

5. Adjustable Headboard Operation
The headboard features three adjustable height settings to accommodate various mattress thicknesses (10" to 14").
- Identify Adjustment Points: Locate the bolts on the back of the headboard that connect it to the frame.
- Loosen Bolts: Slightly loosen these bolts on both sides of the headboard.
- Adjust Height: Carefully slide the headboard up or down to one of the three desired height positions (42", 44", or 46" from the floor).
- Secure Bolts: Once the desired height is achieved, firmly tighten the bolts on both sides to secure the headboard in place.

6. Maintenance
- Cleaning Fabric: The chenille fabric can be spot cleaned with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Test on an inconspicuous area first. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Frame Cleaning: Wipe the frame with a soft, dry cloth.
- Regular Checks: Periodically inspect all bolts and screws to ensure they remain tight. Retighten as needed to maintain stability and prevent squeaking.
- Under-bed Clearance: The 6-inch under-bed clearance allows for easy cleaning with most robot vacuums.

7. Troubleshooting
- Bed Frame Squeaks:
Ensure all bolts and screws are fully tightened. Loose connections are a common cause of squeaking. Check the slat connections to the frame.
- Slats Do Not Fit:
Verify that the side rails are correctly installed and the frame is square. Sometimes, slight adjustments to the frame's alignment during initial assembly can resolve this. Ensure the fabric strap connecting the slats is properly aligned.
- Headboard Wobbles:
Confirm that the headboard adjustment bolts are securely tightened after setting the desired height.
- Bed Feels Unstable:
Recheck all connections, especially the center support beam and its legs. Ensure all 8 support legs are making firm contact with the floor.
