6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Jump Starting a Vehicle

Follow these steps carefully to jump start your vehicle:

  1. Ensure the jump starter has at least 50% charge.
  2. Turn off the vehicle's ignition and all accessories (lights, radio, A/C).
  3. Connect the blue end of the smart jumper cables to the jump starter's port. Ensure a tight connection.
  4. Connect the red (+) clamp to the positive (+) terminal of the vehicle's battery.
  5. Connect the black (-) clamp to the negative (-) terminal of the vehicle's battery or a solid, unpainted metal part of the engine block/chassis.
  6. Once connected, the smart clamp will indicate a ready status (usually a solid green light). If an error is detected (e.g., reverse polarity), an audible alarm and flashing lights will activate. Correct the connection if this occurs.
  7. Return to the vehicle and start the engine.
  8. Once the engine starts, immediately disconnect the smart clamp from the vehicle battery's negative (-) terminal first, then the positive (+) terminal.
  9. Finally, disconnect the smart clamp from the jump starter unit.
