4. Setup Guide
4.1 Charging the Camera
Before initial use, fully charge each camera. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the camera's charging port and a standard USB power adapter (not included). The charging indicator light will show the charging status.
A single charge can provide 1 to 5 months of operation, depending on usage and settings.
4.2 App Installation and Account Creation
- Download the "Tris Home" app from your smartphone's app store (iOS App Store or Google Play Store).
- Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to create a new account or log in if you already have one.
4.3 Connecting to Wi-Fi
Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. These cameras do not support 5GHz Wi-Fi.
- In the Tris Home app, tap the "+" icon to add a new device.
- Select your camera model or scan the QR code on the camera if prompted.
- Follow the in-app instructions to connect the camera to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. This typically involves entering your Wi-Fi password and scanning a QR code displayed on your phone with the camera lens.
- Once connected, the camera's indicator light will confirm successful pairing.

4.4 Mounting the Camera
The cameras can be installed in three ways: wall mount, ceiling mount, or desktop placement.
- Choose a Location: Select a location that provides the desired viewing angle and is within range of your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Consider areas like the garage, yard, doorway, living room, bedroom, or baby room.
- Mounting Bracket Installation:
- For wall or ceiling mounting, use the provided screw set to securely attach the mounting bracket to the desired surface.
- Ensure the bracket is firmly fixed before attaching the camera.
- Attach the Camera: Securely attach the camera to the mounting bracket. Adjust the camera angle for optimal coverage.

Open the Tris Home app and select the desired camera to view its live feed. You can monitor your property in real-time from anywhere.
5.2 Motion Detection and AI Analysis
The camera features advanced PIR motion detection and AI analysis to minimize false alarms.
- PIR Motion Detection: The passive infrared sensor detects heat signatures, triggering recording and alerts when motion is detected.
- AI Analysis: The camera can accurately recognize people, vehicles, pets, and packages. This feature helps in receiving relevant notifications. (Note: Advanced AI recognition for specific object types may require a subscription).
- Customized Motion Zones: You can define specific areas within the camera's view where motion detection should be active. This reduces unnecessary notifications from areas you don't need to monitor.
