2. Safety Instructions

To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, always follow basic safety precautions when using this appliance.

  • Do not immerse the unit, plug, or cord in water or other liquids.
  • Do not operate the cooler with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
  • Ensure the power source matches the voltage specified on the product label (5 Volts DC).
  • Unplug the cooler from the power outlet when not in use, before adding water, cleaning, or performing any maintenance.
  • Keep the cooler out of reach of children and pets.
  • Do not block air inlets or outlets.
  • Use only clean tap water or distilled water in the water tank.
  • Do not place the cooler on uneven surfaces to prevent water spillage.
  • Avoid placing the cooler near heat sources or in direct sunlight for extended periods.

5. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your Passky Portable Air Cooler for first use.

  1. Unpack the Unit: Carefully remove the air cooler and all accessories from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
  2. Place on a Stable Surface: Position the air cooler on a flat, stable, and level surface to prevent water spillage during operation. Ensure there is adequate space around the unit for proper airflow.
  3. Fill the Water Tank:
    • Locate the water tank opening, typically at the top of the unit.
    • Carefully pour clean tap water or distilled water into the 500ml transparent tank. Do not exceed the maximum fill line.
    • For enhanced cooling, you may add ice cubes or chilled water to the tank.
    • Ensure the tank cap is securely closed after filling.
  4. Connect Power:
    • Insert the USB-C power cable into the port on the air cooler.
    • Plug the other end of the USB-C cable into a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or a USB port (e.g., computer, power bank) with a 5V DC output. A 1.5A adapter is recommended for optimal performance.

6. Operating Instructions

Your Passky Portable Air Cooler features intuitive touch controls for easy operation.

6.1 Power On/Off

  • To turn on the unit, gently touch the Power button (often labeled ON/OFF). The indicator light will illuminate.
  • To turn off the unit, touch the Power button again.

6.2 Adjusting Fan Speed

  • Press the Speed button repeatedly to cycle through the three fan speeds: Low (Breeze), Medium (Boost), and High (Blast).
  • The corresponding indicator lights will show the selected speed.

6.3 Activating Mist Mode

  • Press the Mist button (often labeled Spray or Mist) to activate the misting function.
  • Press again to cycle through mist levels (Low, Medium, High) or to turn off the mist function.
  • Ensure the water tank has sufficient water for misting.

6.4 Oscillation Function

  • Press the Oscillation button (often labeled Swing or 45°) to activate the automatic 45-degree wide-angle oscillation.
  • Press the button again to stop oscillation and fix the airflow direction.
  • The unit also allows for manual vertical tilt adjustment of the airflow.

7. Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure optimal performance and extend the lifespan of your air cooler.

7.1 Cleaning the Exterior

  • Before cleaning, always unplug the unit from the power source.
  • Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents.
  • Ensure no water enters the control panel or internal components.

7.2 Cleaning the Water Tank

  • Empty any remaining water from the tank.
  • Rinse the water tank with clean water. For thorough cleaning, you can use a mild detergent and a soft brush, then rinse thoroughly to remove any soap residue.
  • Allow the tank to air dry completely before refilling or storing the unit.
  • Clean the water tank regularly (e.g., weekly) to prevent mineral buildup and mold growth.

7.3 Cleaning/Replacing the Air Filter

The Passky Portable Air Cooler includes a washable activated carbon filter.

  1. Unplug the unit.
  2. Locate and carefully remove the air filter. Refer to the product overview section for filter location.
  3. Rinse the filter under running water to remove dust and debris. For stubborn dirt, a soft brush can be used.
  4. Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting it into the unit. Do not use a dryer or direct heat.
  5. Replace the filter if it shows signs of significant wear or damage, or if odors persist after cleaning.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your air cooler, refer to the following table for common problems and solutions.
