1. Important Safety Information

Please read this manual carefully before installation and use. Keep it for future reference. This appliance is intended for domestic use only.

  • Electrical Safety: Ensure the power supply matches the rating on the appliance label. Always disconnect the appliance from the power supply before cleaning or maintenance.

3. Setup and Installation

This section provides general guidelines for installing your GASLAND TR90SS range hood. For detailed instructions, refer to the separate installation template and hardware provided with your product.

Pre-Installation Checklist:

  • Verify all components are present and undamaged.
  • Ensure the wall structure is strong enough to support the hood's weight.
  • Confirm electrical supply is accessible and meets requirements.
  • Decide on extraction or recirculation mode. For recirculation, ensure carbon filters are installed.

Installation Steps (Summary):

  1. Mark the drilling points on the wall according to the provided template.
  2. Drill holes and insert wall plugs.
  3. Secure the mounting bracket to the wall.
  4. Mount the hood body onto the bracket.
  5. Connect the ducting (for extraction) or install carbon filters (for recirculation).
  6. Install the chimney sections.
  7. Connect the appliance to the electrical supply.

4. Operating Instructions

Your GASLAND TR90SS range hood features an intuitive touch control panel for easy operation.

Control Panel Functions:

  • Power On/Off: Touch the power symbol to turn the hood on or off.
  • Speed Selection (1-3): Touch the corresponding number (1, 2, or 3) to select the desired fan speed. Speed 1 is for light cooking, Speed 3 for heavy cooking.
  • Boost Function: Touch the 'Boost' symbol for maximum extraction power. This speed is ideal for quickly clearing intense smoke or odors and will typically revert to a lower speed after a set time.
  • Light Control: Touch the light symbol to turn the LED lights on or off.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your range hood.

Cleaning the Exterior:

  • Wipe the stainless steel surfaces with a soft cloth dampened with mild detergent and water.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, corrosive detergents, or metal brushes, as these can damage the surface.
  • Dry thoroughly with a clean, soft cloth.

Cleaning Grease Filters:

The aluminum grease filters should be cleaned regularly (approximately every 2-4 weeks, depending on usage) to maintain efficiency.

  1. Switch off the range hood and disconnect it from the power supply.
  2. Open the filter locking mechanism and remove the grease filters.
  3. Wash the filters by hand in hot soapy water or in a dishwasher (ensure they are placed to avoid damage).
  4. Rinse thoroughly and allow them to dry completely before re-installing.

Replacing Activated Carbon Filters (Recirculation Mode Only):

If your hood operates in recirculation mode, the activated carbon filters (CF176) must be replaced periodically (typically every 3-6 months, depending on usage) as they cannot be washed.

  1. Switch off the range hood and disconnect it from the power supply.
  2. Remove the grease filters to access the carbon filters.
  3. Twist or unclip the old carbon filters and remove them.
  4. Install new carbon filters, ensuring they are securely fastened.
  5. Re-install the grease filters.

6. Troubleshooting

Before contacting customer service, please check the following common issues and solutions:
