5. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps for effective and safe use:

  1. Select Water Pressure: Rotate the dial on the unit to choose one of the 10 water pressure settings. Start with a lower setting (Level 1-2) if you are a new user or have sensitive gums, and gradually increase as you get accustomed.
  2. Prepare for Use: Lean over the sink and place the nozzle tip into your mouth, aiming it at your gumline. Close your lips slightly to prevent splashing, but allow water to flow into the sink.
  3. Start Flossing: Turn on the device using the ON/OFF switch on the handle.
  4. Guide the Nozzle: Guide the water stream along your gumline, pausing briefly between teeth. Ensure the water stream reaches all areas, including the back teeth and around any dental work. The 360-degree rotating tip allows for easy access to all areas.
  5. Duration: Continue until you have cleaned all areas of your mouth. The device will automatically stop after 2 minutes.
  6. Turn Off: Switch off the device using the ON/OFF switch on the handle.
  7. Empty Reservoir: After each use, empty any remaining water from the reservoir to prevent bacterial growth.

Recommended Usage: Use the Mornwell Dental Water Flosser after brushing your teeth, at least once a day, or as recommended by your dental professional.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and hygiene of your water flosser.

Cleaning the Unit:

  • Daily Cleaning: After each use, empty the water reservoir and rinse it thoroughly with clean water. Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth.
  • Deep Cleaning (Monthly): To prevent mineral buildup, fill the reservoir with 2 parts water and 1 part white vinegar. Run the solution through the unit until half the reservoir is empty. Turn off the unit and let it sit for 20-30 minutes. Then, run the remaining solution through the unit. Rinse by running a full reservoir of clean water through the unit.
  • Do NOT immerse the main unit in water. The unit is IPX7 waterproof, but immersion for extended periods or in hot water is not recommended.

Cleaning Nozzles:

  • Remove the nozzle from the handle after each use.
  • Rinse the nozzle under running water.
  • Store nozzles in a clean, dry place. The nozzle storage box on top of the unit is ideal.

Nozzle Replacement:

  • It is recommended to replace standard nozzles and tongue cleaners every six months.
  • Other specialized nozzles (e.g., braces tip, plaque tip) should be replaced every three months.
