6. Operation Modes

The Fuers MC18 alarm sensor features a mode switch and a power switch. To change modes, ensure the power switch is ON, then use the mode switch (labeled 'SET') on the left side of the console. Each press will cycle through the modes, indicated by beeps.

  • Mode 1 (Alarm Mode): When the doors and windows are opened, an immediate, continuous alarm sound will be issued. The alarm will stop when the doors and windows are closed. This mode is suitable for anti-intrusion security.
  • Mode 2 (Doorbell Reminder Mode): When the doors and windows are opened, the main engine makes a 'ding-dong' doorbell sound to remind someone to enter or exit. This mode is useful for shops or as a gentle reminder.
  • Mode 3 (Door and Window Open Reminder Mode): If doors and windows are left open, the host will issue a 'drop-drop' reminder. The volume is lower than the alarm mode. This mode is useful for reminding you to close doors or windows.

9. Troubleshooting

  • Alarm not working:
Check if the power switch is in the 'ON' position. Verify that the LR44 batteries are correctly installed and not depleted. Replace batteries if necessary.
  • False alarms:
Ensure the main alarm unit and magnetic contact unit are aligned correctly and the gap between them is less than 0.39 inches (1 cm) when closed. Strong vibrations or wind might cause slight movement; ensure a stable mounting surface.
  • Weak alarm sound:
This usually indicates low battery power. Replace the LR44 batteries.
  • Difficulty changing modes:
Ensure the power switch is ON. Press the 'SET' button firmly and briefly to cycle through modes.
