3.3 Wiring Instructions

  1. Connect to Receiver: Plug the designated cables from the FZD module into the corresponding channels (CH1 to CH4) on your RC receiver. The module is compatible with standard gun-type remote controls.
  2. Connect LED Lights: Connect your RC vehicle's LED lights to the labeled ports on the FZD module. Ensure correct polarity. The labels on the module correspond to specific light functions:
    • CH1 (转向 CL): Steering Left/Right
    • CH2 (转向 CL): Steering Left/Right (Secondary)
    • 刹车 SL: Brake Lights
    • 爆闪 FL: Emergency/Flashing Lights
    • 倒车 DL: Reverse Lights
    • 大灯 DRL: Headlights/Daytime Running Lights
  3. Power Supply: The module operates on a voltage range of 4.2-12V DC. Ensure your power source (typically from the receiver or a dedicated battery) is within this range.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Basic Operation

Once properly connected and powered, the FZD LED Controller Module will synchronize with your RC transmitter's inputs to control the connected lights. For example, turning the steering wheel on your transmitter will activate the corresponding steering lights.

4.2 Light Functions

  • Steering Lights: Activate when the steering input is applied.
  • Headlights: Typically controlled by a dedicated switch on your transmitter or a specific channel input.
  • Brake Lights: Illuminate when the brake input is applied.
  • Reverse Lights: Activate when the reverse input is applied.
  • Atmosphere/Emergency Lights: May be controlled by auxiliary channels or specific button presses on your transmitter, depending on your setup.

4.3 Mixed Control Mode

The FZD module is designed to function correctly even in mixed control mode setups, ensuring all light functions operate as intended without interference.

5. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your DumboRC FZD LED Controller Module, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Keep the module free from dust, dirt, and moisture. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
  • Connections: Periodically check all cable connections to ensure they are secure and free from corrosion.
  • Battery Access: The module features a pluggable extension cord design, allowing for quick and easy access for battery replacement or maintenance, especially for models where lamps are mounted on the lamp housing.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the module in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your FZD LED Controller Module, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Lights not working:
    • Check all cable connections between the module, receiver, and LED lights.
    • Verify the power supply voltage is within the 4.2-12V DC range.
    • Ensure the LED lights themselves are functional.
    • Confirm the receiver channels are correctly configured and sending signals.
  • Incorrect light behavior (e.g., steering lights activate with brake):
    • Double-check that the correct LED light cables are plugged into their respective ports on the FZD module.
    • Verify the receiver channel connections to the FZD module are correct (CH1, CH2, etc.).
  • Module not responding:
    • Ensure the module is receiving power.
    • Check for any visible damage to the module or cables.

If problems persist, contact customer support for further assistance.
