4. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your Hollyland Lark M2S system:

1. Charge All Units: Place all transmitters and receivers into the charging case. Connect the charging case to a power source using the provided USB-A to USB-C cable. The LED indicator on the case will show charging status. A full charge takes approximately 1.5 hours.
2. Remove Protective Film: For new units, peel off any protective film from the charging contacts on the transmitters and receivers.
3. Automatic Pairing: The transmitters and receivers are pre-paired at the factory. Once removed from the charging case, they should automatically connect. A solid blue or green LED on the receiver indicates a successful connection.
4. Attach Windshields (Optional): For outdoor use or in windy conditions, slide the included furry windshields over the transmitter microphones to reduce wind noise.
5. Connect Receiver to Device:
   • For Cameras: Connect the Camera RX to your camera's 3.5mm microphone input using the 3.5mm TRS to TRS cable.

• On the Camera RX, press the gain knob once to mute/unmute both transmitters simultaneously. This function is only available when connected to a camera.

5.3 Noise Cancellation

• The Lark M2S features advanced Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC).
• Adjust 2 noise cancellation levels via the LarkSound App for mobile devices.
• On the Camera RX, a dedicated button allows for quick toggling of noise cancellation.

5.4 Volume Control (Gain)

• On the Camera RX, rotate the gain knob to adjust the audio input level. LED indicators will show the current gain level.
• For mobile devices, use the LarkSound App to adjust volume.

5.5 Mono/Stereo Switching

• Clip Care: The titanium clip is durable, but avoid excessive force when attaching or detaching. Maintain the clip angle at or below 45 degrees during use to prevent damage.

• Microphone Clip Angle: The microphone clip is made of titanium. As a memory metal, titanium can return to its original 45-degree setting even after repeated use. However, we recommend keeping the clip angle at or below 45 degrees during use to ensure durability and prevent damage.
• Stereo Recording with Smartphone: Yes, the LARK M2S supports stereo mode when recording with a smartphone. You can easily switch between stereo and mono modes using the Hollyland LarkSound app.
• Activating Mute Function: This function is only available when connected to a camera. You can activate the Mute function by gently pressing the knob on the camera receiver. Enabling this function will mute both microphones simultaneously; it cannot mute a single microphone independently.
• Differences between Ultimate Combo, Combo, and Mini Combo: To meet customers' needs for shooting with various devices, we offer three SKUs, each including different types of receivers.
