2. Getting Started

2.1. Unpacking

  • CR2032 Battery (one installed, one extra)
  • Instruction Manual

2.2. Battery Installation

The caliper comes with a CR2032 battery. If the display does not turn on, or if the battery needs replacement:

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the digital display unit.
  2. Use a small coin or screwdriver to gently twist and open the cover.
  3. Insert a new CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
  4. Replace the battery compartment cover and twist to secure it.

2.3. Initial Zeroing

Before taking measurements, it is crucial to zero the caliper for accuracy:

  1. Ensure the caliper jaws are fully closed and clean.
  2. Press the ON/SET button to turn on the device.
  3. With the jaws closed, press the ON/SET button again to set the display to zero. The display should read "0.00" or "0".

  1. Open the caliper jaws wider than the dimension you wish to measure.
  2. Insert the caliper jaws into the opening.

3.2. Unit Conversion

The caliper supports measurements in inches, millimeters, and fractions. To switch between units, press the mm/in/F button. The display will cycle through the available units.
