Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the EUROSTAR ES102W Single Burner with Spiral Plate. This portable electric hot plate is designed for convenient cooking in various settings, including dorms, offices, RVs, or as an additional burner at home. This manual provides essential information for safe operation, setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and longevity of your appliance.

Please read these instructions thoroughly before using the appliance and retain them for future reference.

Important Safety Instructions

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, including the following:

  • Read all instructions before using the appliance.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
  • To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or the appliance in water or other liquid.
  • Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
  • Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
  • Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair, or adjustment.
  • The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
  • Do not use outdoors.
  • Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
  • Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
  • Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.

  • Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
  • This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.

Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the EUROSTAR ES102W Single Burner from its packaging. Retain all packaging materials for future storage or transport.
  2. Placement: Place the burner on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is adequate clearance around the appliance for ventilation. The non-skid rubber feet provide stability during use.
  3. Power Connection: Ensure the temperature control knob is set to the "OFF" position. Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.
  4. Initial Burn-off: Before first use, operate the burner at its highest setting for approximately 5-10 minutes without any cookware. This will burn off any manufacturing residues and odors. A small amount of smoke or odor during this process is normal. Ensure the area is well-ventilated.
