4. Setup Instructions

  1. Position the Air Pump: Place the air pump on a stable, dry surface above the water level of your tank. This prevents water from siphoning back into the pump in case of a power outage.
  2. Connect Tubing: Cut the airline tubing to the desired length(s). Connect one end of the tubing to an air outlet on the pump.
  3. Install Check Valve: For safety, install a check valve in the airline tubing between the pump and the air stone. Ensure the arrow on the check valve points towards the air stone (away from the pump). This prevents water backflow.
  4. Connect Air Stone: Connect the other end of the tubing (after the check valve) to an air stone.
  5. Place Air Stone: Submerge the air stone in your fish tank, bucket, or DWC system.
  6. Dual Outlet Setup (Optional): If using both outlets, repeat steps 2-4 for the second outlet. Use the T-shape connector to split the air flow to two air stones from one outlet, or use the straight connector to extend tubing if needed.
  7. Power On: Plug the air pump into a suitable power outlet.

The Pawfly air pump is versatile and can be used in various aquatic and hydroponic setups:

5. Operating Instructions

  1. Adjusting Air Flow: Locate the rotatable knob on the top of the air pump. Turn the knob clockwise to increase the air volume and counter-clockwise to decrease it. Adjust the airflow to achieve the desired bubble intensity and oxygenation for your aquatic environment.
  2. Continuous Operation: The pump is designed for continuous operation. Monitor your tank's oxygen levels and adjust the airflow as needed.

6. Maintenance

  • Regular Cleaning: Periodically clean the exterior of the air pump with a soft, damp cloth. Do not submerge the pump in water.
  • Air Stone Replacement: Air stones can become clogged over time, reducing air output. Replace air stones when you notice a significant decrease in bubble production.
  • Tubing Inspection: Check airline tubing regularly for kinks, cracks, or blockages. Replace damaged tubing to ensure optimal airflow.
  • Check Valve Functionality: Ensure check valves are clean and functioning correctly to prevent water backflow.
