2. Important Safety Instructions
Always follow basic safety precautions when using electrical appliances to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons. This includes:
- Read all instructions.
- Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
- To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or appliance in water or other liquid.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
- Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
- The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
- Do not use outdoors.
- Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.

3.2 Setup
- Unpack the appliance and all accessories. Remove any packaging materials, stickers, or labels.
- Clean the basket and the removable grid thoroughly with hot water, dish soap, and a non-abrasive sponge.
- Wipe the inside and outside of the appliance with a damp cloth.
- Place the appliance on a stable, horizontal, and level surface. Do not place the appliance on non-heat-resistant surfaces.
- Ensure there is at least 10 cm of free space on the back and sides and 10 cm above the appliance.
3.3 Operating Instructions
The Tefal Easy Fry Max features 10 pre-set cooking programs and adjustable temperature control up to 220°C.
- Preheating: Plug in the appliance. Select a pre-set program or manually set the desired temperature and time. Press the start button to begin preheating.
- Loading Food: Once preheated (if applicable), carefully pull out the basket. Place ingredients into the basket. Do not overfill.
- Cooking: Slide the basket back into the appliance. Select one of the 10 pre-set programs (e.g., French fries, chicken, fish, pizza, nuggets, vegetables, shrimp, bacon) or manually set the temperature and time using the digital touch screen.
- Timer: Use the 60-minute timer for precise cooking. The appliance will automatically shut off and ring a bell when cooking is complete.
- Checking Food: For even cooking, shake the basket halfway through the cooking time for items like fries or nuggets.
- Serving: Carefully remove the basket and transfer the cooked food to a plate.
3.4 Maintenance and Cleaning
- Always unplug the appliance and let it cool down completely before cleaning.
- Clean the basket and the removable grid with hot water, dish soap, and a non-abrasive sponge. These parts are generally dishwasher safe.
- Wipe the exterior of the appliance with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents.
- Never immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.

4.2 Setup
- Before first use, remove any protective film or stickers from the soleplate.
- Fill the water tank: Ensure the iron is unplugged. Open the easy-fill opening and pour tap water into the tank up to the 'MAX' level indicated by the water level indicator. Close the opening securely.
- Plug the iron into a suitable power outlet.
4.3 Operating Instructions
- Temperature Setting: Turn the temperature control dial to the desired setting for your fabric type. Refer to garment care labels.
- Heating: The iron will heat up quickly (2400W power). An indicator light will turn off when the set temperature is reached.
- Steam Ironing: For continuous steam, ensure the temperature is set to a steam-compatible level (usually 2 dots or higher). The iron will produce up to 40g/minute of continuous steam.
- Steam Boost: For stubborn wrinkles, press the steam boost button to release a powerful burst of steam (up to 130g/minute).
- Spray Function: Press the spray button to moisten fabrics, aiding in wrinkle removal.
- Vertical Steaming: The iron can be used vertically to steam delicate garments, suits, or curtains. Hold the iron a few centimeters away from the fabric and press the steam boost button.
- Anti-Drip: The anti-drip feature prevents water droplets from staining your clothes, even at lower temperatures.
4.4 Maintenance and Cleaning
- Always unplug the iron and let it cool down completely before cleaning.
- Soleplate Cleaning: Wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth. For stubborn marks, use a specialized soleplate cleaning stick. Do not use abrasive pads or cleaners.
- Water Tank: Empty the water tank after each use to prevent mineral buildup.
