Operating Instructions

1. Loading Pellets

Open the hopper lid and fill with food-grade wood pellets. The hopper has a capacity of approximately 12 lbs (5.5 kg). Ensure the pellet level is sufficient for your cooking duration.

2. Powering On and Temperature Setting

Plug the grill into a grounded outdoor electrical outlet. Turn the main power switch ON. Use the temperature control dial to select your desired cooking temperature, ranging from 180°F to 425°F. The PID controller will automatically feed pellets to maintain the set temperature.

3. Cooking Modes

  • Smoke Setting: For low-temperature smoking, ideal for infusing deep smoky flavors into meats.
  • Temperature Control (180-425°F): Use for grilling, roasting, baking, and braising. The PID system ensures precise temperature management.
  • High Setting: Provides continuous pellet feed to the firebox without temperature control, suitable for searing or high-heat cooking when precise temperature is less critical.

4. Monitoring Food

While the grill maintains a set temperature, it is recommended to use a separate meat thermometer to monitor the internal temperature of your food for optimal results and food safety.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning the Grill

  • Cooking Grates: After each use, allow the grates to cool. Scrape off any food residue with a grill brush. The non-stick, enameled coating facilitates easy cleaning.
  • Grease Bucket: Regularly empty and clean the grease bucket to prevent flare-ups and maintain hygiene.
  • Interior: Periodically clean the interior of the grill, including the fire pot and heat baffle, to remove ash and debris. Ensure the grill is completely cool before cleaning.

2. Hopper Cleanout

If the grill will not be used for an extended period, it is recommended to empty the wood pellets from the hopper. Use the clean-out door to release pellets into a bucket for proper storage. This helps prevent moisture absorption and pellet degradation.
