Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your GMKtec Nucbox M7 Mini PC. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the device to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

Setup
Package Contents
Verify that all items listed below are present in your package:

- Power Supply & Cable

Initial Connection
- Connect Display: Use the provided HDMI cable to connect the Mini PC to your monitor or TV. The device supports HDMI 2.1 (up to 8K@60Hz), DisplayPort 2.0 (up to 4K@144Hz), and dual USB4 (Type-C) video outputs for multi-screen setups.
- Connect Peripherals: Plug in your keyboard, mouse, and other USB devices into the available USB ports (2x USB 2.0, 2x USB 3.0, 2x USB4 Type-C).
- Connect Power: Connect the power adapter to the DC IN port on the Mini PC and then plug it into a power outlet.
- Power On: Press the power button located on the front of the Mini PC. The system will boot into Windows 11 Pro.

VESA Mount Installation
The included VESA mount allows you to attach the Mini PC to the back of a compatible monitor or a wall mount, saving desk space.
- Attach the VESA bracket to the back of your monitor using the provided screws. Ensure the bracket is securely fastened.
- Slide the Mini PC onto the VESA bracket until it clicks into place.

Operating Instructions
Performance Modes
The Nucbox M7 features three adjustable performance modes to optimize power consumption and fan noise:
- Quiet Mode (35W TDP): Ideal for light tasks, offering minimal fan noise (32-35dB).
- Balance Mode (50W TDP): Suitable for everyday computing, providing a good balance of performance and noise (36-37dB).
- Performance Mode (65W-70W TDP): Maximizes CPU and GPU performance for demanding applications and gaming (39-40dB).
These modes can be adjusted within the BIOS settings. VRAM allocation can also be configured up to 16GB in the BIOS.

Display Connections
The Nucbox M7 supports up to four simultaneous displays, offering versatile connectivity options:
- HDMI 2.1: Supports resolutions up to 8K@60Hz.
- DisplayPort 2.0: Supports resolutions up to 4K@144Hz.
- Dual USB4 (Type-C): Supports 4K video output and data transmission.

Network Connectivity
The Mini PC offers robust network options:
- Dual 2.5G LAN Ports (Intel i226V): Provides high-speed wired network connections, suitable for firewall, soft routing, or file storage server applications.
- WiFi 6: For fast wireless internet browsing, streaming, and gaming.
- Bluetooth 5.2: For stable and efficient connection to wireless devices such as headphones, keyboards, and mice.

OCuLink Port
The M7 Pro features an OCuLink port, which provides higher bandwidth (PCIe x4 speeds) compared to Thunderbolt. This is beneficial for connecting external GPUs (eGPUs) for enhanced graphics performance, especially for gamers and content creators.
Important: The OCuLink interface does not support hot-swapping. Always plug and unplug devices from this port when the Mini PC is powered off to prevent damage.

BIOS Settings
The updated BIOS allows for advanced configurations, including:
- Auto Power On: Configure the system to automatically power on after a power loss.
- Wake-on-LAN: Enable the system to be woken up remotely over a network connection.
- VRAM Allocation: Adjust the amount of system RAM dedicated to the integrated graphics processor.
Refer to the on-screen BIOS menu for specific navigation and setting adjustments. Typically, you can access the BIOS by pressing Del or F2 during startup.
Maintenance
Cooling System
The Nucbox M7 features an upgraded Hyper Ice Chamber 2.0 design with larger top and bottom cooling fans and a copper base for efficient heat dissipation. To maintain optimal cooling performance:
- Ensure the air vents are not obstructed.
- Regularly clean dust from the vents using compressed air.
- Operate the Mini PC in a well-ventilated area.

Upgradability (RAM & SSD)
The Nucbox M7 is designed for easy upgrades of its memory and storage:
- RAM: Comes with 32GB DDR5 4800MHz (2x16GB SO-DIMM) and supports expansion up to 96GB RAM.
- SSD: Features a 2TB M.2 2280 PCIe 3.0 SSD and supports dual slot expansion to 2x PCIe 4.0 2TB SSDs, for a total capacity of up to 4TB.
To upgrade, carefully remove the detachable cover lid. Consult a professional if you are unsure about the upgrade process.

Troubleshooting
