Setup

1. Charging the Speakers

Before initial use, fully charge your speakers using the provided Type-C charging cables. For optimal performance, ensure the solar panel is exposed to direct sunlight.

• Solar Charging: Place the speakers in direct sunlight. Solar charging can take approximately 35 hours for a full charge, depending on sunlight intensity.
• USB-C Charging: Connect the included Type-C charging cable to the charging port on the speaker and a compatible power adapter. A full charge takes approximately 4 hours.

2. Powering On/Off

Locate the control panel on the speaker. Press and hold the power button (U) for a few seconds to turn the speaker on or off. An indicator light will confirm the power status.

3. Bluetooth Pairing

The speakers support both single device pairing and True Wireless Stereo (TWS) pairing for two speakers.

Single Speaker Pairing:

1. Ensure the speaker is powered on and in Bluetooth pairing mode (blue indicator light blinking).
2. On your smartphone, tablet, or laptop, search for Bluetooth devices and select "RS8".
3. Once connected, a confirmation tone will sound, and the indicator light will turn solid blue.

True Wireless Stereo (TWS) Pairing (for two speakers):

1. Ensure both speakers are powered on.
2. Long-press the TWS button (often indicated by a chain link icon) on either speaker for 3 seconds to initiate automatic pairing.
3. A "ding-dong" tone will be emitted upon successful pairing. The primary speaker will show a steady yellow TWS light, and the secondary speaker will show a steady green TWS light.
4. On your phone, search for the Bluetooth device named "RS8" and select it. A "connected" tone confirms successful pairing.
5. Both speakers will now play synchronously, delivering full stereo sound.

Operating the Speakers

1. Music Playback

Once connected via Bluetooth, you can control music playback (play, pause, skip tracks) directly from your connected device. The speakers do not have dedicated playback control buttons.

2. Volume Control

Adjust the volume directly from your connected Bluetooth device (smartphone, tablet, etc.).

3. Optimal Placement

For the best audio experience and solar charging efficiency, place the speakers in an area with clear line-of-sight to your Bluetooth device and ample direct sunlight. The realistic rock design allows them to blend naturally into garden, patio, deck, or pool areas.

Maintenance

1. Waterproofing Care

The speakers are IPX7 waterproof. However, to prevent water from entering the control panel, do not open the cover on rainy days. Ensure the Type-C charging port cover is securely closed when not charging.

2. Cleaning

Wipe the speakers with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that could damage the finish or solar panel.

3. Adhesive Residue Note

Minor adhesive residue may be present on the base of the Rock Speaker. This is an intentional part of the waterproof sealing process to ensure IPX7-rated protection and is not a defect.

4. Winter Storage

Troubleshooting

• No Power: Ensure the speakers are charged. Connect to a power source via USB-C and check the charging indicator.
• Cannot Pair Bluetooth: Ensure the speaker is in pairing mode (blinking blue light). Turn off and on your device's Bluetooth. Move closer to the speaker. If using TWS, ensure both speakers are paired to each other first, then connect your device to the primary speaker.
• No Sound/Low Volume: Check the volume level on both your connected device and the speaker. Ensure the speakers are properly paired.
• TWS Connection Drops: Ensure speakers are within 33 feet of each other. Obstructions can affect signal.
• Water Inside Speaker (despite IPX7): While IPX7 rated, ensure the charging port cover is always sealed when not in use, especially during rain. Avoid submerging the speakers. If water ingress occurs, power off immediately and allow to dry completely before attempting to use again.
