Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Herdio 8" Rock Bluetooth Speakers. These outdoor waterproof speakers are designed to provide high-quality audio for your garden, patio, deck, pool, or backyard. Featuring solar charging capabilities, IPX7 waterproofing, and TWS (True Wireless Stereo) connection, they offer a seamless and robust audio experience.

The speakers are built with a sturdy fiberglass resin material, ensuring durability against various weather conditions and blending naturally with outdoor environments.

Setup

Initial Charging

Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge your speakers. The speakers can be charged via two methods:

• Solar Charging: Place the speakers in direct sunlight. A full charge via solar power takes approximately 30 hours.
• Power Cord Charging: Use the provided USB A+C Power Adapters and C-C Charging Cables. A full charge via power cord takes approximately 2 hours. Solar and power cord charging can occur simultaneously.

Placement

Position your Herdio rock speakers in desired outdoor locations such as gardens, patios, decks, or by the pool. Ensure the solar panel on top is exposed to direct sunlight for optimal charging. The rock-like appearance allows them to blend seamlessly into your landscape.

Operating Instructions

Control Panel Overview

The control panel is located on the back of the speaker, protected by a waterproof cover. Lift the cover to access the buttons and USB-C port.

Note: The Bluetooth LED indicator (7) has two display statuses: red indicates charging via solar power, while blue indicates the status when connected to Bluetooth.

Powering On/Off

Press and hold the Power Button (4) to turn the speaker on or off. The speaker will provide an audible prompt.

Bluetooth Pairing (Single Speaker)

1. Ensure the speaker is powered on. It will automatically enter pairing mode, indicated by a blinking LED.
2. On your smartphone, tablet, or laptop, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
3. Select "Herdio Rock Speaker" (or similar name like "RS4 S" for 4" model) from the list.
4. Once connected, the Bluetooth LED indicator will turn solid blue, and the speaker will provide an audible confirmation.

The Bluetooth connection range is up to 49 feet (15 meters).

TWS (True Wireless Stereo) Connection (Two Speakers)

To achieve stereo sound, you can connect two Herdio rock speakers together via TWS:

1. Ensure both speakers are powered on and not connected to any other Bluetooth device.
2. On one of the speakers, press the Pairing Button (6). The speaker will enter TWS pairing mode.
3. The two speakers will automatically search for and connect to each other. Once connected, they will provide an audible confirmation.
4. Now, connect your Bluetooth device to one of the speakers as described in the "Bluetooth Pairing" section. Both speakers will play in stereo.

The maximum Bluetooth range between two TWS-connected speakers is up to 65 feet.

Maintenance

The Herdio Rock Speakers are designed for outdoor use and are IPX7 waterproof, meaning they can withstand rain, temperature changes, and splashes without affecting performance. However, proper maintenance will ensure their longevity.

• Cleaning: Wipe the speakers with a damp cloth to remove dirt or debris. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
• Solar Panel: Keep the solar panel clean and free of obstructions (like leaves or dirt) to ensure efficient charging.
• USB-C Port Cover: Always ensure the waterproof cover for the USB-C port is securely closed when not charging to prevent water ingress.
• Storage: If storing the speakers for an extended period, especially in cold climates, it is advisable to fully charge them and store them in a dry, temperate environment.
