3.4 Pairing Sensors and Remotes

Follow the instructions within the NGTeco Home app or the keypad's menu to pair each sensor and remote control. General pairing steps are:

  • Door/Window Entry Sensors: Press the small button on the exterior side of the sensor to initiate pairing.

4. Operating the System

4.1 Arm and Disarm Modes

The system supports various modes to suit your security needs:

  • Away Mode: Arms all sensors. Ideal when no one is home.
  • Home Mode: Arms perimeter sensors (e.g., door/window sensors) while allowing movement within the home without triggering motion sensors.
  • Disarm Mode: All sensors are inactive, allowing free movement.

4.2 Control Methods

  • Keypad Control Panel: Use the digital keypad to arm, disarm, and configure system settings. The keypad features automatic backlight adjustment for visibility.
  • NGTeco Home App: Control your system remotely from anywhere via the app. You can arm/disarm, monitor sensor status, and receive real-time notifications.
  • Remote Controls: Use the included remote controls for quick arming and disarming.
  • Voice Control: The system is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Use voice commands to arm or disarm your security system.

4.4 RFID Smart Cards

The system includes RFID smart cards that can be used to quickly disarm the system by tapping them on the designated RFID area of the keypad.

4.5 Chime Function

When the system is in disarm mode, the keypad can emit a 'chime' or 'doorbell' sound when a door or window with an entry sensor is opened, providing an audible alert for entry/exit.

4.6 Custom Modes and Schedules

Utilize the NGTeco Home app or keypad settings to create custom schedules for arming and disarming the system, optimizing security based on your daily routine.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Battery Management

  • Keypad Control Panel: The keypad has a 1500mAh backup battery. For continuous operation, the keypad should remain plugged into a power source using the provided USB adapter and cable. The backup battery provides temporary power during outages.
  • Sensors: Entry sensors and motion detectors use long-lasting CR2450/R03P batteries. Replace batteries when the system indicates a low battery warning for a specific sensor.

5.2 Cleaning

Wipe the keypad and sensors with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the devices.

6. Troubleshooting

  • False 'Open Door' Reports: If the display pad reports an open door when it is closed, try opening and closing the door again firmly. If the issue persists, power cycle the display pad by unplugging and re-plugging it. Ensure the two parts of the entry sensor are properly aligned and securely attached.
  • Wi-Fi Connection Issues: Verify that your home Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. The system does not support 5GHz networks. Ensure the keypad is within range of your Wi-Fi router. Restart your router and the keypad, then attempt to reconnect via the NGTeco Home app.
  • Difficulty Changing Keypad Code: If you encounter difficulties changing the keypad code using the keypad interface, try performing the code change through the NGTeco Home app, which often provides a more intuitive process. If the issue persists, contact NGTeco customer support.
  • Keypad Not Holding Charge: The keypad's internal battery is primarily for backup during power outages. For reliable, continuous operation, the keypad should remain plugged into a power source. It is not designed for extended portable use on battery power alone.
  • No SIM Card Slot: Please note that the NGTeco H400 model does not include a SIM card slot for cellular backup. Any product descriptions mentioning 4G-GSM compatibility may refer to other regional variants or models. This H400 model relies solely on Wi-Fi for connectivity and alerts.
  • Sensors Not Triggering: Ensure sensors are correctly paired and their batteries are not depleted. Check sensor placement to ensure proper alignment for entry sensors or clear line of sight for motion sensors.
