Maintenance
Cleaning
- Hand Wash Only: The Corvo EKG Pro is not dishwasher safe. Always hand wash the kettle.
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the kettle and base with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Interior Cleaning: Rinse the interior of the kettle with warm water and a mild dish soap. Ensure all soap residue is thoroughly rinsed out.
Descaling
Mineral deposits (limescale) will naturally accumulate on the bottom of the kettle over time, especially in areas with hard water. This is normal and expected. To remove these deposits:
- Fill the kettle with a solution of equal parts white vinegar and water.
- Bring the solution to a boil and let it sit for at least 30 minutes, or longer for heavy buildup.
- Empty the kettle and rinse thoroughly several times with fresh water.
- Repeat if necessary.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your Corvo EKG Pro Electric Tea Kettle, please refer to the following common solutions:
- Kettle not heating: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet and the kettle is properly seated on its base. Check that the power switch on the base is in the 'ON' position.
- Water not reaching desired temperature: Verify that the temperature setting on the digital display is correct. If mineral buildup is present, perform a descaling cycle as described in the Maintenance section.
- Kettle automatically shuts off prematurely: Ensure the kettle is filled above the minimum fill line. The boil-dry protection feature may activate if there is insufficient water.
