3. Setup

Unpacking and Placement:

  1. Carefully remove the air purifier from its packaging.
  2. Place the unit on a firm, level surface.
  3. Ensure there is at least 6 inches (15 cm) of clear space around all sides of the air purifier for optimal airflow.
  4. Avoid placing the unit near heat sources, direct sunlight, or in areas with excessive moisture.

Filter Installation:

The air purifier comes with a pre-installed filter. Before first use, ensure the filter is properly seated and any protective packaging is removed.

  1. Twist the top section of the air purifier counter-clockwise to unlock and lift it off.
  2. Remove the cylindrical HEPA filter. Ensure any plastic wrapping is removed from the filter.
  3. Insert the filter back into the base, ensuring it is seated correctly.
  4. Replace the top section and twist clockwise to lock it into place.

5. Maintenance

Filter Replacement:

For optimal performance, the HEPA filter should be replaced every 12 months or as indicated by the filter replacement indicator on the control panel. Filter lifespan may vary based on usage and air quality.

  1. Unplug the air purifier from the power outlet.
  2. Twist the top section counter-clockwise and lift it off.
  3. Remove the old cylindrical filter.
  4. Insert a new Frigidaire PureAir RAC-16 HEPA filter into the base.
  5. Replace the top section and twist clockwise to lock.
  6. Plug in the unit. The filter replacement indicator should reset automatically. If not, consult the troubleshooting section.

Cleaning the Air Quality Sensor:

The air quality sensor, located on the back of the unit, should be cleaned every two months to ensure accurate readings. Use a dry cotton swab to gently wipe away any dust accumulation.
