1. Product Overview

The EMART Portable Backdrop Stand Kit is designed for versatile use in photography, parties, weddings, and various events. It features a foldable cross flat base for stability and space-saving storage, adjustable height and width, and a durable, rust-resistant surface for both indoor and outdoor applications.

2. Package Contents

Verify that all components are present before assembly:

• 2 x Support Stands with Foldable Cross Flat Bases
• 2 x Telescopic Crossbars
• 2 x Water Bags (for added stability)
• 6 x Spring Clamps
• 1 x Carrying Bag
• Necessary hardware (knobs, screws)

3. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to assemble your EMART Portable Backdrop Stand Kit:

1. Unfold the Cross Base: Pull up the leg to release the spring fixing buckle from the groove and unfold the cross-shaped flat base on each support stand. Ensure the legs are fully extended for maximum stability.

2. Add Water Bags (Optional for Stability): Place a water bag on each unfolded base. Fill the water bags with water to add weight and increase the stability of the backdrop stand, especially for outdoor use or heavier backdrops.

3. Connect Support Rods: Insert the bottom end of each support rod into the center hole of its respective base. Tighten the knob on the base to secure the rod firmly.

4. Connect Crossbars: Assemble the telescopic crossbars by connecting the sections. Adjust the crossbar to your desired width (from 5.3ft to 10ft).

5. Attach Crossbar to Support Stands: Place the assembled crossbar onto the top pins of the two support stands. Tighten the screws on the support stands to firmly secure the crossbar.

6. Adjust Height: Loosen the knobs on the support rods and extend them to the desired height (from 2.6ft to 8.5ft). Tighten the knobs securely to lock the height in place.

7. Attach Backdrop: Use the provided spring clamps to attach your backdrop, banner, flower wall, or drapes to the crossbar.

4. Operating the Stand

4.1 Adjusting Height and Width

• Height: Loosen the knobs on the vertical support rods. Extend or retract the rod sections to achieve the desired height between 2.6ft and 8.5ft. Tighten the knobs firmly to secure.
• Width: The crossbars are telescopic. Gently pull or push the sections to adjust the width between 5.3ft and 10ft. Ensure the internal locking pins engage properly for a secure fit.

4.2 Enhancing Stability

• Water Bags: For increased stability, especially outdoors or with heavy backdrops, fill the provided water bags and place them on the cross flat bases.
• Ground Stakes: The bases include pre-drilled holes for ground stakes. Use these to secure the stand on grassy areas, providing additional resistance against wind. (Note: Ground stakes are not included in this kit).

5. Maintenance and Storage

5.1 Cleaning

The stand features a hammer texture with black spray painting, enhancing its rust-proof and scratch-resistant properties. To clean, wipe down with a damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could damage the finish.

5.2 Storage

The stand is designed for easy disassembly and compact storage. Fold the bases, collapse the rods and crossbars, and place all components into the provided carrying bag. Store in a dry place to prolong product life.

6. Troubleshooting

• Stand Wobbles: Ensure all knobs are tightened securely. If used outdoors, fill water bags or use ground stakes. Verify the bases are fully unfolded and on a flat, stable surface.
• Difficulty Adjusting Height/Width: Loosen the adjustment knobs/mechanisms completely before attempting to extend or retract poles. Do not force components.
• Backdrop Sags: Ensure the crossbar is properly secured to both support stands. Use all provided spring clamps to distribute the weight of the backdrop evenly.
