Setup

Charging the Grinder:

Before initial use, fully charge your STARESSO Discovery II PLUS grinder. A single illuminated indicator light means the battery is low and requires immediate charging.

1. Locate the USB-C charging port on the top of the grinder.
2. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the grinder and a suitable power source (e.g., USB wall adapter, power bank).
3. The indicator lights will illuminate during charging. All four lights will be solid when fully charged.
4. Charging time is approximately 90 minutes. Do not operate the grinder while it is charging.

Assembly:

The STARESSO Discovery II PLUS grinder comes pre-assembled and requires no additional assembly before use.

Operating Instructions

1. Unlock the Grinder: Twist the top section of the grinder counter-clockwise to align the unlock icon, then lift to separate the top and bottom sections.
2. Add Coffee Beans: Pour your desired amount of whole coffee beans into the top chamber. The grinder has a capacity of 20 grams.
3. Adjust Grind Setting: Turn the dial on the bottom of the grinding mechanism to select your desired grind size. Refer to the 'Grind Settings Guide' below for recommendations.
4. Reassemble & Lock: Align the top and bottom sections and twist clockwise until the lock icon is aligned, ensuring the grinder is securely closed.
5. Start Grinding: Press the power button on the top of the grinder once. The grinder will start automatically.
6. Auto-Off Feature: The grinder will automatically stop once all beans are ground.
7. Collect Ground Coffee: Twist the bottom collection cup counter-clockwise to remove it and access your freshly ground coffee.

Note: To protect the grinder, do not grind under 2 grids.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity of your grinder. The all-metal design makes cleaning straightforward.

1. Disassemble: Twist the top section counter-clockwise to separate it from the main body. Remove the bottom collection cup by twisting counter-clockwise.
2. Clean Burrs: Use the provided cleaning brush to remove any residual coffee grounds from the conical burrs and the grinding chamber.
3. Clean Collection Cup: Empty any remaining grounds from the collection cup and wipe it clean with a dry cloth.
4. Reassemble: Reassemble the grinder by aligning the components and twisting clockwise until securely locked.

Important: Do not wash the grinder with water. Use only the dry brushes for cleaning to prevent damage to internal components.

Troubleshooting

• Grinder not starting: Ensure the grinder is fully charged. Check that the top and bottom sections are correctly aligned and locked.
• Inconsistent grind: Verify that the grind setting dial is securely in place and has not shifted during operation. Ensure the burrs are clean and free of obstructions.
• Grinder stops unexpectedly: The auto-off feature activates when grinding is complete. If it stops prematurely, check for blockages in the burr area or ensure the battery is not depleted.
• Grinder is noisy: While designed for low noise, excessive noise may indicate a blockage or improper assembly. Disassemble, clean, and reassemble the unit.
