1. Introduction

2. Safety Information

Please read all instructions carefully before beginning installation and retain this manual for future reference.

  • Ensure the power is turned off at the circuit breaker before installation or servicing.
  • All electrical connections must be in accordance with local codes, ordinances, and the National Electric Code. If you are unfamiliar with electrical wiring, consult a qualified electrician.
  • The mounting structure must be capable of supporting the weight of the fan (approximately 4.54 kg).
  • Do not operate the fan with damaged blades or housing.

4. Setup & Installation

Follow these steps for proper installation of your Ohniyou ceiling fan. It is recommended to have two people for installation.

4.1 Pre-Installation Checklist

  • Turn off power at the main circuit breaker.
  • Ensure the electrical box is securely mounted and capable of supporting the fan's weight.
  • Gather necessary tools: screwdriver, wire strippers, electrical tape, ladder.

4.2 Mounting the Fan

  1. Attach the mounting bracket to the electrical junction box in the ceiling using the provided screws. Ensure it is firmly secured.
  2. Carefully lift the fan motor assembly and hang it from the mounting bracket using the provided hook or support system, if applicable, to free your hands for wiring.

4.3 Electrical Wiring

  1. Connect the fan's electrical wires to the household wiring according to the wiring diagram provided in the separate wiring guide (if applicable) or standard electrical practices (Live to Live, Neutral to Neutral, Ground to Ground). Use the provided wire nuts to secure connections.
  2. Ensure all connections are tight and insulated with electrical tape.

4.4 Attaching Fan Blades

  1. The fan includes 5 dual-sided blades with one side in white and the other in wood grain. Choose the desired finish for your room's decor.
  2. Attach each fan blade to the motor housing using the screws provided. Ensure all screws are tightened securely to prevent wobbling.

4.5 Final Assembly

  1. Carefully push the fan assembly up to the mounting bracket and secure it with the canopy screws.
  2. Install the light cover by twisting or snapping it into place.
  3. Restore power at the circuit breaker.

5. Operating Instructions

Your Ohniyou ceiling fan can be controlled via the included remote control or a smartphone application.

5.1 Remote Control Operation

The remote control provides full functionality for your fan and light. Ensure 2x AAA batteries (not included) are installed correctly.

  • Fan / Light ALL ON/OFF: Turns both fan and light on/off simultaneously.
  • LIGHT ON/OFF: Toggles the light on or off independently.
  • Reversible Motor (F/R): Changes the direction of fan rotation for summer or winter mode.
  • Turn Off The Beep: Mutes the operational sounds of the fan.
  • 6 Speed Button (1-6): Adjusts fan speed from low (1) to high (6).
    • Speed 1-2: Comfortable wind
    • Speed 3-4: Natural wind
    • Speed 5-6: Cool wind
  • Pairing & Fan Off: Used for pairing the remote with the fan or turning the fan off.
  • Natural Light / Yellow Light / White Light: Cycles through the three color temperatures (3000K, 4500K, 6000K).
  • Luminance +/-: Adjusts the brightness of the light (dimmable from 100% to 10%).
  • Timer Setting (1H, 4H, 8H): Sets the fan to turn off automatically after 1, 4, or 8 hours.

5.2 App Control

The Ohniyou ceiling fan can also be controlled via a dedicated smartphone application. Refer to the video provided by the seller for detailed instructions on connecting the APP.

  1. Turn on your phone's Bluetooth.
  2. Return to the APP interface.
  3. Turn off the wall switch, wait 5 seconds, then turn it on again.
  4. Click the "Pair" button within the app to connect.

5.3 Reversible DC Motor (Summer/Winter Mode)

The reversible DC motor allows you to change the direction of the fan blades for optimal air circulation throughout the year.

  • Summer Mode (Counter-clockwise): Pushes air downwards, creating a cooling breeze. Ideal for warmer months.
  • Winter Mode (Clockwise): Draws air upwards, circulating warm air trapped near the ceiling. Ideal for cooler months to improve heat distribution.

5.4 Ultra-Quiet Operation

The fan is equipped with a quiet DC motor, operating at a low noise level of 35dB, ensuring a peaceful environment. If any operational sounds are heard, use the "Turn Off The Beep" button on the remote control.

5.5 Light Memory Function

The fan's light features a memory function, retaining your last selected color temperature and brightness settings. To activate:

  1. Select your desired color temperature and brightness.
  2. Keep the light on for more than 10 seconds.
  3. Turn off the light using the remote or app.
  4. When you turn the light back on, it will resume the previously set preferences.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your ceiling fan.

  • Cleaning: To clean the fan, wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the finish. Ensure power is off before cleaning.
  • Blade Cleaning: Dust the fan blades regularly to maintain efficient airflow.
  • Tightening Screws: Periodically check all screws on the fan and mounting bracket to ensure they are tight. Loose screws can cause wobbling or noise.
  • Light Source: The integrated LED light source is designed for long life and typically does not require replacement.
