This manual provides essential information for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your Vanquisher EX-8 Rugged Tablet PC. Designed for demanding enterprise and field work environments, the EX-8 combines robust construction with advanced computing capabilities. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the device to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
The Vanquisher EX-8 is equipped with Windows 11 IoT Enterprise, an Intel N100 processor, an 8-inch high-definition display, Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, and integrated GPS, making it suitable for various professional applications requiring reliability and durability.
2. Product Components
Familiarize yourself with the physical features and components of your Vanquisher EX-8 tablet.

3. Initial Setup
3.1 Unboxing and Package Contents
Upon opening the package, verify that all items are present:
- Vanquisher EX-8 Rugged Tablet
- Handstrap
- Stylus Pen
- Wall Charger
3.2 Charging the Device
Before initial use, fully charge the tablet. Connect the provided wall charger to the DC power jack on the tablet and then to a power outlet. The charging indicator will illuminate.
3.3 Battery Installation/Removal
The EX-8 features a user-replaceable battery. To install or remove the battery:
- Ensure the tablet is powered off.
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the rear of the tablet.
- Unscrew or unlatch the cover as indicated by the design.
- Carefully insert or remove the 7.6V/5000mAh Li-ion battery. Ensure correct orientation for installation.
- Securely replace the battery compartment cover.

3.4 First Power-On and Windows Setup
Press and hold the Power On/Off button until the screen illuminates. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the initial setup of Windows 11 IoT Enterprise. This includes language selection, network connection, and user account creation.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Power On/Off and Sleep Mode
- Power On: Press and hold the Power On/Off button until the screen turns on.
- Power Off: From the Windows desktop, click the Start button, then Power, and select 'Shut down'. Alternatively, press and hold the Power On/Off button for several seconds and follow the on-screen prompts.
- Sleep Mode: Briefly press the Power On/Off button to put the tablet into sleep mode. Press it again to wake the device.
4.2 Display and Touchscreen
The 8-inch display features a 1200x1920 resolution and 550 nits brightness, ensuring clear visibility even in outdoor sunlight environments. The touchscreen supports multi-touch gestures. Use the provided stylus for precise input.
4.3 Windows 11 IoT Enterprise
The tablet runs on Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC, an operating system optimized for enterprise applications requiring system efficiency, security, reduced maintenance, and a longer support lifecycle. It provides capabilities to lock down the device experience and customize the OS footprint for specific business needs.

4.4 Connectivity (Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth)
The integrated Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) chipset provides enhanced data transmission stability, lower latency, and improved efficiency, especially in environments with multiple connected devices. Bluetooth 5.2 enables connection to various wireless peripherals.

4.5 GPS Functionality
The built-in U-blox GPS module allows for precise location tracking and is compatible with applications like MAGNET Field for land positioning data collection, GIS mapping, construction layout, fieldwork, and utility mapping.

5. Maintenance and Care
5.1 Rugged Construction
The Vanquisher EX-8 is designed with rugged construction, meeting MIL-STD-810H standards for tough conditions and offering IP65 water and dust resistance. It is built to withstand drops from 1.22 meters, making it suitable for wild daily use and harsh industrial environments.

5.2 Cleaning
To clean the tablet, use a soft, lint-free cloth. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild, non-abrasive cleaning solution. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the screen or casing.
5.3 Battery Care
To maximize battery life, avoid exposing the tablet to extreme temperatures. If the tablet will not be used for an extended period, store it with a partial charge (around 50%).
6. Troubleshooting
- Device not powering on: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the charger and attempt to power on. If the issue persists, try removing and reinserting the battery.
- Screen unresponsive: Perform a force restart by holding the power button for approximately 10-15 seconds. If the issue continues, ensure the screen is clean and free of debris.
- Wi-Fi connectivity issues: Verify that Wi-Fi is enabled in Windows settings. Restart the tablet and the wireless router. Ensure you are within range of a known Wi-Fi network.
- GPS not acquiring signal: Ensure you are in an open area with a clear view of the sky. Check that location services are enabled in Windows settings.
