Safety Guidelines

Setup and Assembly

Initial Assembly Steps:

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for potential future transport or returns.
2. Handlebar Installation: Attach the handlebars to the stem, ensuring all bolts are tightened securely.
3. Front Wheel Installation: Install the front wheel, making sure the quick-release skewer or axle nuts are properly secured. Verify the brake rotor is correctly aligned within the caliper.
4. Pedal Attachment: Identify the left (L) and right (R) pedals. Thread the pedals into the crank arms. The left pedal threads counter-clockwise, and the right pedal threads clockwise. Tighten firmly with a wrench.
5. Seatpost Adjustment: Insert the seatpost into the frame and adjust the saddle height for comfortable riding. Secure the quick-release lever.
6. Battery Installation & Initial Charge: Install the battery into its designated compartment. Before first use, fully charge the battery using the provided charger. Connect the charger to the battery and then to a power outlet. The indicator light on the charger will change when fully charged.

Operating Your ENGWE LE20

Powering On/Off and Display

To power on your e-bike, press and hold the power button on the color LCD display. The display will show your speed, battery level, assist level, and other ride data. To power off, press and hold the power button again.

Pedal Assist System (PAS)

The LE20 features a torque sensor for seamless and natural pedal assistance. As you pedal, the motor provides power based on your pedaling effort. You can adjust the assist level using the controls on the handlebar to increase or decrease motor assistance. The maximum speed with pedal assist is 28 MPH.
