Gears and Shifting
Your e-bike is equipped with a 7-speed gear system. Use the trigger shifter on the handlebar to change gears, allowing you to adapt to various terrains and riding conditions. Shift to lower gears for climbing hills and higher gears for flat terrain or descents.
Braking System
The ENGWE LE20 features 180mm hydraulic disc brakes for enhanced control and reliable stopping power. Apply both front and rear brakes simultaneously for effective and safe deceleration. Avoid sudden, hard braking, especially at high speeds.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your ENGWE LE20. Perform these checks periodically:
- Tires: Check tire pressure before each ride. The 20" x 3.0" fat tires are puncture-resistant but should still be inspected for wear and damage.
- Brakes: Regularly inspect brake pads for wear and ensure hydraulic disc brakes are responsive. While hydraulic brakes require less frequent adjustment, check fluid levels and hose integrity annually or if performance degrades.
- Chain: Keep the chain clean and lubricated to ensure smooth shifting and prevent premature wear.
- Battery Care:
- Charge the battery fully after each ride, or at least once a month if not in use.
- Store the battery in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Avoid completely draining the battery to prolong its lifespan.
- Fasteners: Periodically check all bolts, nuts, and quick releases for tightness.
- Frame: Inspect the 6061 aluminum alloy frame for any signs of damage or cracks.
- Suspension: The front suspension fork should be kept clean. Consult a professional for internal maintenance if needed.
