1. Product Overview

The Reyke Smart Tag is a compact item tracker designed to help you locate your personal belongings using the Apple Find My network. This device is ideal for tracking items such as keys, wallets, backpacks, and luggage. It connects seamlessly with your iPhone or iPad, providing location information and alerts.

2. Setup Guide

Setting up your Reyke Smart Tag is a simple process that integrates with your Apple device's Find My app.

1. Ensure Compatibility: Your Reyke Smart Tag works exclusively with Apple devices running iOS 14.5 or higher. Android devices are not supported.
2. Activate the Smart Tag: The Smart Tag comes with a pre-installed battery. If it's not already active, you may need to remove a battery isolation tab. The tag will emit a sound when activated.
3. Open Find My App: On your iPhone or iPad, open the "Find My" app.
4. Add New Item: Navigate to the "Items" tab and tap the "+" icon. Select "Add Other Item".
5. Connect: Place the Reyke Smart Tag near your Apple device. The Find My app will detect the tag. Follow the on-screen instructions to name your item and register it to your Apple ID.
6. Confirmation: Once connected, the Reyke Smart Tag will appear in your "Items" list within the Find My app.

3. Operating Instructions

Utilize the various features of your Reyke Smart Tag through the Apple Find My app to keep track of your belongings.

3.1 Find Nearby (Play Sound)

When your Smart Tag is within Bluetooth range (up to 180 feet / 50 meters), you can trigger a sound to locate it.

• Open the Find My app on your Apple device.
• Go to the "Items" tab and select your Reyke Smart Tag.
• Tap "Play Sound". The tag will emit a loud beep (90-105dB) to help you find it.
• Tap "Stop Sound" once you've located your item.

3.2 Left-Behind Remind

Receive notifications on your iPhone if you leave your Smart Tag behind and it goes out of Bluetooth range.

• In the Find My app, select your Reyke Smart Tag.
• Under "Notifications", enable "Notify When Left Behind".
• You can also set "New Location" exceptions where you don't want to be notified (e.g., your home).
• If you leave the item, your iPhone will send a notification, and you can view its last known location on the map.

3.3 Lost Mode

If your item is lost, activate Lost Mode to leverage the vast Apple Find My network.

• In the Find My app, select your Reyke Smart Tag.
• Scroll down and enable "Lost Mode".
• You can enter a phone number or email address where you can be contacted if someone finds your item.
• When another Apple device in the Find My network comes within range of your lost tag, its location will be anonymously updated to you, and you will receive a notification.

3.4 Share This Item

Share access to your Reyke Smart Tag's location with friends and family. This feature requires your iPhone, iPad, or Mac to be updated to iOS 17 or later.

• Open the Find My app and select your Reyke Smart Tag.
• Tap "Share This Item".
• Follow the prompts to invite up to 5 other Apple users to track the item.
• Note: Tracking notifications may be muted for shared users to avoid excessive alerts.

4. Battery Replacement and Maintenance

4.1 Battery Replacement

The Reyke Smart Tag uses a replaceable Lithium Metal battery, designed to last over a year with typical use. When the battery is low, you will receive a notification in the Find My app.

1. Open the Tag: Carefully twist or pry open the Reyke Smart Tag casing. Refer to the product diagram for the battery compartment location.
2. Remove Old Battery: Remove the old Lithium Metal battery.
3. Insert New Battery: Insert a new CR2032 Lithium Metal battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
4. Close the Tag: Securely close the Smart Tag casing, ensuring it clicks into place to maintain its waterproof seal.

4.2 Waterproof Rating (IPX6)

The Reyke Smart Tag is rated IPX6 waterproof, meaning it is protected against high-pressure water jets from any direction. This makes it suitable for outdoor use and protection against rain or splashes. However, it is not designed for submersion in water.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Reyke Smart Tag, try the following steps:

• Tag Not Connecting:
  • Ensure your Apple device is running iOS 14.5 or higher.
  • Check if the Smart Tag battery is active and not depleted. Replace if necessary.
  • Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your Apple device.
  • Bring the Smart Tag closer to your Apple device during setup.
• Sound Not Playing:
  • Verify the Smart Tag is within Bluetooth range of your Apple device.
  • Check the battery level of the Smart Tag in the Find My app.
• Location Not Updating:
  • Ensure your Apple device has an active internet connection (Wi-Fi or cellular).
  • For Lost Mode, location updates rely on other Apple devices in the Find My network. This may take time depending on network density.
• "Share This Item" Not Available:
  • Confirm your Apple device is updated to iOS 17 or later.
