3. Filling the Clean Water Tank: Unscrew the yellow cap on the clean water tank. Fill the tank with water up to the indicated line, then add the appropriate BISSELL cleaning formula according to the instructions on the formula bottle. Securely replace the yellow cap.

Operating Instructions

Before operating, ensure the clean water tank is filled and the dirty water tank is empty.

Main Unit Operation (Carpet & Area Rugs)

1. Power On: Plug the unit into a grounded outlet and press the power button.
2. Select Cleaning Mode: Choose between Steam Pretreat Mode (for loosening tough, stuck-on stains) or SteamWash Max Mode (for deep cleaning with steam, water, and formula).
3. Cleaning Pass: Hold the spray trigger on the handle to apply solution as you push the cleaner forward. Release the trigger and pull the cleaner backward to suction up the dirty solution. Overlap passes slightly for thorough cleaning.
4. Steam Pretreat Mode: For heavily soiled areas, use this mode first to penetrate and loosen stains before a full SteamWash Max clean.

1. Attach Hose: Locate the hose connection port on the main unit. Open the port cover and firmly insert the hose until it locks into place.
2. Attach Tool: Connect the desired tool (e.g., 4-inch Self-Cleaning Tough Stain Tool, Spraying Crevice Tool) to the end of the hose.
3. Clean: Hold the tool firmly against the surface. Press the trigger on the tool to spray solution, then release and pull the tool across the soiled area to suction. Repeat as needed.

Maintenance

1. Emptying and Rinsing Dirty Water Tank: After each use, remove the dirty water tank. Dispose of the collected dirty water and rinse the tank thoroughly with clean water.
2. Cleaning the Brush Roll and Nozzle: The EZ Clean Brush Roll Cover and Catch & Clean Tray are designed for easy maintenance. Press the release buttons on the brush roll cover to remove it. Clean any trapped debris or hair from the brush roll and the nozzle area. The included Nozzle Clean Out Tool can assist with this.
3. Hose Cleaning: If using the hose and attachments, it is recommended to clean the hose by attaching an upholstery tool and running clean water through it to flush out any residue.
