6. Maintenance and Care
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your BSIDE Handheld Oscilloscope OT3, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the screen or casing.
- Storage: Store the oscilloscope in its EVA storage bag when not in use to protect it from dust, moisture, and physical damage. Store in a cool, dry place.
- Battery Care: Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. For long-term storage, charge the battery to approximately 50% to prolong its lifespan.
- Environmental Conditions: Operate the device within the specified temperature and humidity ranges to prevent malfunction.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your oscilloscope, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Device does not power on: Ensure the battery is sufficiently charged. Connect the Type-C cable and attempt to power on while charging.
- No waveform displayed: Check that the probe is correctly connected to the device and the circuit under test. Verify the probe's attenuation setting matches the device's setting. Adjust the voltage division (VOL) and time base (TIME) settings. Use the 'AUTO' function to automatically adjust the display.
- Unstable waveform: Adjust the trigger level and trigger mode (Auto, Normal, Single) to stabilize the waveform. Ensure proper grounding of the probe.
- Screen backlight issues: Check the backlight settings in the system menu.
- Device unresponsive: Perform a soft reset by holding down the power button for an extended period (e.g., 10-15 seconds) until the device restarts.
