3. Setup
3.1 Charging the Device
The R18 Night Vision Binoculars feature a built-in 3800mAh Lithium Battery. Before first use, fully charge the device.
- Locate the USB Port (2/8) on the device.
- Open the protective cover.
- Connect the included USB cable to the device and a compatible USB power source (e.g., computer, wall adapter).
- The charging indicator will show the charging status.
3.2 Inserting a TF Card
A TF (Micro SD) card is required to store still images and videos. The device supports up to 128GB.
- Locate the Micro SD Card Slot (2/8) under the protective cover.
- Gently insert the TF card into the slot with the gold contacts facing down until it clicks into place.
- To remove, press the card gently until it springs out.
3.3 Attaching the Strap and Tripod
- Strap: Thread the included shoulder strap through the Strap Hole (7) on the device for secure carrying.
- Tripod: The device includes a Tripod Mount (12) at the bottom, allowing it to be mounted on a standard tripod for stable observation.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Power On/Off
- Power On: Press and hold the Power Button (1) for a few seconds until the screen illuminates.
- Power Off: Press and hold the Power Button (1) again for a few seconds until the screen turns off.
4.2 Mode Selection
Press the Mode Button (3) to cycle through available modes: Still Image, Video Recording, and Playback.
4.3 Focusing
Rotate the Focus Wheel (10) to adjust the clarity of the image on the TFT Screen (6).
4.4 Digital Zoom
The device features 5X digital zoom.
- Press the IR Up / Zoom In / Up Button (5) to zoom in.
- Press the IR Down / Zoom Out / Down Button (4) to zoom out.
4.5 Infrared (IR) Adjustment
The R18 features a 3W, 850nm infrared spotlight with 7-speed adjustment for enhanced night vision.

- Press the IR Up / Zoom In / Up Button (5) to increase the IR intensity.
- Press the IR Down / Zoom Out / Down Button (4) to decrease the IR intensity.
- Adjust the IR level based on ambient light conditions for optimal viewing in darkness.
4.6 Capturing Images and Videos
- Still Image: In Still Image mode, press the Shot Button (2) to capture a photo.
- Video Recording: In Video Recording mode, press the Shot Button (2) to start recording. Press it again to stop recording.
4.7 Day and Night Use
The device is designed for both day and night observation. In daylight, the IR illuminator should be off. For night use, activate and adjust the IR illuminator as needed.

4.8 Viewing on LCD Screen
The integrated 2.4-inch TFT LCD screen (6) provides a direct display of the observed scene and captured media.

4.9 Data Transfer
Connect the device to a computer using the Mini USB 2.0 cable to transfer captured images and videos from the TF card.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
- Lenses: Use a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for optical lenses. Do not use abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.
- Body: Wipe the device body with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid getting moisture into ports or openings.
5.2 Storage
- Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- If storing for extended periods, ensure the battery is partially charged (around 50%) to prolong its lifespan.
5.3 Battery Care
- Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
- Charge the battery regularly, even if not in use, to maintain its health.
