MidTen 3x32 Prism Rifle Scope User Manual

Model: 3x32 Prism Rifle Scope

Introduction

Thank you for choosing the MidTen 3x32 Prism Rifle Scope. This manual provides essential information for the proper setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your new scope. Please read these instructions carefully before use to ensure optimal performance and safety.

The MidTen 3x32 Prism Rifle Scope features a fixed 3x magnification, a 32mm objective lens, and a dual-illuminated BDC reticle (red and green) with 5 brightness levels. It is designed for clear and precise targeting with a wide field of view and includes a piggyback mount for additional accessories.

Setup

1. Mounting the Scope

The MidTen 3x32 Prism Rifle Scope is designed to be mounted on a standard Picatinny rail. Ensure your firearm is unloaded and pointed in a safe direction before proceeding with mounting.

  1. Align the scope's base with the desired position on your Picatinny rail.
  2. Secure the mounting screws. Tighten them evenly to ensure a stable and level mount. Avoid over-tightening, which can damage the rail or the scope.
  3. Verify that the scope is firmly attached and does not wobble.

Note: The scope includes a piggyback mount for attaching a secondary optic, such as a red dot sight. Ensure any additional optic is securely fastened to this mount.

2. Battery Installation

The reticle illumination requires one CR2032 battery. A spare battery is included for convenience.

  1. Locate the battery compartment cap, typically on the illumination control knob.
  2. Unscrew the cap counter-clockwise.
  3. Insert a CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing outwards.
  4. Replace the cap and screw it clockwise until snug. Do not over-tighten.

3. Diopter Adjustment

The diopter adjustment allows you to fine-tune the reticle focus for your individual eyesight.

  1. Point the scope at a plain, bright background (e.g., a clear sky or a blank wall).
  2. Look through the scope and quickly glance away, then back.
  3. Rotate the diopter ring (located on the eyepiece) until the reticle appears sharp and clear without straining your eye.

4. Windage and Elevation Adjustment

The scope features windage and elevation adjustment turrets for zeroing your optic.

  1. Remove the protective caps from the windage (side) and elevation (top) turrets.
  2. Each click of the turret adjusts the point of impact by 1/2 MOA (Minute of Angle).
  3. Rotate the elevation turret to adjust for vertical impact. Rotate the windage turret to adjust for horizontal impact.
  4. After zeroing, replace the protective caps.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning Lenses

The lenses are fully multicoated for optimal light transmission and image quality. Handle them with care.

  • Use a soft, lint-free cloth or a lens brush to remove dust and loose debris.
  • For smudges or fingerprints, apply a small amount of lens cleaning solution to a clean lens cloth and gently wipe the lens surface.
  • Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, which can damage the lens coatings.

Troubleshooting

  • Reticle Illumination Not Working:
Check if the battery is correctly installed with the positive (+) side facing out. Ensure the battery is fresh; replace if necessary (CR2032). Verify the illumination control knob is turned to an 'ON' position and not 'OFF' or between settings.
  • Illumination Dial or Diopter Ring is Stiff:
New scopes may have stiff adjustment mechanisms. Gently but firmly rotate the dial or ring multiple times to loosen it. If it remains excessively stiff or jammed, contact customer support.
  • Scope Not Holding Zero / Loose Mounting:
Ensure all mounting screws are securely tightened to the Picatinny rail. Check for any damage to the rail or the scope's mounting base. Re-tighten screws evenly.
  • Reticle Appears Blurry:
Adjust the diopter ring on the eyepiece until the reticle is sharp for your eye. Ensure the objective lens is clean and free of smudges or fog.
  • Image is Unclear or Distorted:
Check both the objective and eyepiece lenses for dirt, smudges, or fog. Clean them carefully as per the maintenance instructions. Ensure the diopter is correctly adjusted.
