4. Connecting Hoses

  • Connect a standard 3/4" NH garden hose to the pump's inlet. Ensure the water supply is clean and free of debris.
  • Connect your pressure washer hose to the 3/8" quick-connect outlet.
  • If using chemical injection, connect the provided chemical hose to the designated port.

Operating Instructions

1. Priming the Pump

Before starting the engine, ensure the water supply is turned on and water flows through the pump and out of the pressure washer gun to remove any air. This prevents damage to the pump.

2. Starting the Engine

Follow your pressure washer engine's manufacturer instructions for starting. Once the engine is running, the pump will begin to pressurize the water.

3. Adjusting Pressure

The pump features an adjustable unloader valve to control the output pressure. Rotate the knob to increase or decrease pressure as needed for your cleaning task.

Figure 8: Turn the red and black knob clockwise to increase pressure (up to 4000 PSI) and counter-clockwise to reduce pressure (down to 2800 PSI).

4. Using Nozzle Tips

Select the appropriate nozzle tip for your cleaning application. Different colored tips provide varying spray patterns and pressures. Always ensure the nozzle is securely attached before operating.

Maintenance

1. Oil Level Monitoring

The pump is equipped with a visual oil level monitoring window. Regularly check the oil level to ensure it is within the recommended range. The pump is pre-sealed with oil from the factory.

3. General Care

  • After each use, flush the pump with clean water to remove any chemical residues.
  • Store the pump in a dry, frost-free environment. Use pump protector/antifreeze if storing in cold conditions.
  • Regularly inspect hoses and connections for wear or leaks. Replace damaged components immediately.
