2. Important Safety Instructions

4. Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the toaster from its packaging. Remove all packing materials, including any labels or stickers.
- Placement: Place the toaster on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from walls, curtains, and other flammable materials. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the toaster.
- First Use (Burn-Off): Before toasting food for the first time, operate the toaster without bread on the highest shade setting (6) in a well-ventilated area. This will burn off any manufacturing residues and eliminate odors. A slight smoke or odor is normal during this process.
- Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet.
5. Operating Instructions
The WHALL Touch Screen Toaster offers intuitive controls for various toasting preferences.

5.1 Basic Toasting
- Insert up to two slices of bread into the toasting slots. The extra-wide slots accommodate various bread thicknesses.
- Press the 'BREAD TYPE' icon on the touch screen to cycle through the available bread types (Bread, Bagel, Pastry, Waffle, English Muffin, Grain). Select the appropriate type for your item.
- Adjust the shade setting using the '«' (decrease) and '»' (increase) arrows. There are 6 shade settings, from light (1) to dark (6). The digital timer will display the selected shade level.
- Push the carriage lever down until it locks into place. The toasting cycle will begin, and the digital timer will count down.
- Once the toasting cycle is complete, the bread will automatically pop up.

5.2 Special Functions
- Defrost Function: Ideal for toasting frozen bread. Select the 'DEFROST' button after choosing your bread type and shade. This adds approximately 20% longer toasting time to account for thawing.
- Bagel Function: Toasts the cut side of bagels while gently warming the outer crust. Select the 'BAGEL' button after inserting your bagel and choosing the desired shade.
- Reheat Function: Warms already toasted items without further browning. Press the 'REHEAT' button. The toaster will reheat for 30 seconds after the cycle finishes.
- Cancel Function: To stop the toasting cycle at any time, press the 'CANCEL' button. The carriage lever will immediately raise the bread.

5.3 Sound Alerts & Mute
The toaster provides sound alerts for function selection, start of toasting, and completion of the cycle. To mute these alerts, press and hold the 'CANCEL' button for 2 seconds.
6. Maintenance and Cleaning
