2. Safety Information

  • Read all instructions before using the appliance.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
  • To protect against fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, do not immerse cord, plugs, or appliance in water or other liquid.
  • Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
  • Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.

5. Setup

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials and place the coffee maker on a clean, flat, and stable surface.
  2. Clean: Wash the removable water tank, pod holder, coffee grounds filter, and drip trays with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
  3. Fill Water Tank: Remove the 40 oz water tank from the back of the unit. Fill it with fresh, filtered water up to the MAX line. Reinsert the water tank securely.

  4. First Cleanse Brew: Place a large mug (at least 10 oz) on the drip tray. Do not insert a K-Cup or coffee grounds. Press the 'ON/OFF' button, then select the largest cup size (24 oz) and press 'HOT BREW'. This will flush the system. Discard the hot water. Repeat this process 2-3 times.
  5. Power On: Plug the coffee maker into a grounded electrical outlet. The 'ON/OFF' indicator light will illuminate.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Brewing Hot Coffee (Pods or Grounds)

  1. Ensure the water tank is filled with fresh water.
  2. Lift the handle to open the brewing chamber.
  3. For K-Cup Pods: Insert a K-Cup pod into the pod holder.
  4. For Ground Coffee: Fill the reusable coffee grounds filter with your desired amount of ground coffee (up to 30g). Place the filled filter into the brewing chamber.
  5. Close the handle firmly until it clicks.
  6. Place your mug on the drip tray. Adjust the drip tray if using a taller mug.
  7. Select your desired cup size (6, 8, 10, 12, 16, or 24 oz) using the 'OZ' button.
  8. Choose your brew strength: 'HOT BREW' for classic coffee or 'BOLD' for a stronger flavor. The selected button will illuminate.
  9. The machine will begin brewing. Brewing typically takes 2-4 minutes.
  10. Once brewing is complete, the indicator light will turn off. Carefully remove your mug.

6.2 Brewing Iced Coffee (Pods or Grounds)

For optimal iced coffee, use a 1:1 ratio of ice to water. The 'OVER ICE' function extracts coffee at a slightly lower temperature to minimize ice melt.

  1. Fill your cup with ice.
  2. Add water to the water tank according to the recommended iced coffee ratio (see table below).
  3. Insert a K-Cup pod or filled coffee grounds filter into the brewing chamber.
  4. Close the handle firmly.
  5. Place your ice-filled cup on the drip tray.
  6. Select your desired cup size (6, 8, 10, or 12 oz) using the 'OZ' button.
  7. Press the 'OVER ICE' button. The button will illuminate.
  8. The machine will begin brewing.
  9. Once brewing is complete, carefully remove your iced coffee.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning

  • Always unplug the coffee maker before cleaning.
  • Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the unit in water.
  • The removable water tank, pod holder, coffee grounds filter, and drip trays are dishwasher-safe (top rack only) or can be hand-washed with warm, soapy water.

7.2 Descaling

Over time, mineral deposits (scale) can build up in your coffee maker, affecting performance and taste. The 'DESCALE' indicator light will turn red when descaling is recommended.

  1. Ensure the water tank is empty.
  2. Fill the water tank with 10 oz of white vinegar or a descaling solution specifically designed for coffee makers.
  3. Place a large mug on the drip tray.
  4. Long press the 'OVER ICE' button for 3 seconds to activate the descaling cycle. The 'DESCALE' light will flash.
  5. The machine will run a descaling cycle, dispensing the solution. This may take several minutes.
  6. Once the cycle is complete, discard the solution.
  7. Rinse the water tank thoroughly and fill it with fresh water.
  8. Perform 2-3 rinse cycles (without K-Cup or grounds) using fresh water to remove any residual descaling solution.
  9. The 'DESCALE' light will turn off once the process is complete.
