2. Setup and Installation
2.1 Mounting the Sight
The Goetland HD30 Red Dot Sight is designed for easy installation on any 20mm Weaver/Picatinny rail. Ensure your firearm or equipment has a compatible rail system before proceeding.
- Loosen the mounting screws on the base of the red dot sight.
- Align the sight's base with the Weaver/Picatinny rail on your equipment.
- Slide the sight onto the rail to your desired position.
- Tighten the mounting screws securely. Do not overtighten, as this can damage the rail or the sight.
2.2 Battery Installation
The Goetland HD30 Red Dot Sight requires one CR2032 battery (not included). Ensure correct polarity during installation.
- Locate the battery compartment cap, usually on the top or side of the sight.
- Unscrew the battery compartment cap.
- Insert a fresh CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing upwards.
- Replace the battery compartment cap and tighten it firmly to ensure a waterproof seal.
2.3 Attaching Lens Caps
The included flip-up lens caps protect the objective and ocular lenses from dust, dirt, and scratches when not in use.
- Place the larger cap over the objective lens (front).
- Place the smaller cap over the ocular lens (rear).
- Ensure they fit snugly to provide adequate protection.

3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Powering On/Off and Brightness Control
The Goetland HD30 features red and green illumination with 5 brightness levels for each color.
- Rotate the brightness control knob, located on the top of the sight, to turn the unit ON.
- Select either 'R' for red dot illumination or 'G' for green dot illumination.
- Adjust the knob to your desired brightness level (1-5). Level 1 is the dimmest, and 5 is the brightest.
- To turn the sight OFF, rotate the knob to the '0' position.

3.2 Windage and Elevation Adjustments
To zero your sight, use the windage and elevation adjustment knobs. These knobs are typically covered by protective caps which should be removed before adjustment.
- Elevation Adjustment: The knob on the top of the sight adjusts the vertical position of the dot. Turning it clockwise typically moves the point of impact down, and counter-clockwise moves it up.
- Windage Adjustment: The knob on the side of the sight adjusts the horizontal position of the dot. Turning it clockwise typically moves the point of impact right, and counter-clockwise moves it left.
Make small, incremental adjustments and test fire after each adjustment until the point of aim matches the point of impact.
4. Maintenance and Care
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Goetland HD30 Red Dot Sight.
4.1 Cleaning the Lenses
- Always use the provided cleaning cloth or a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for optical lenses.
- Gently wipe the lens surfaces to remove dust and smudges. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- For stubborn dirt, a small amount of lens cleaning solution designed for optics can be applied to the cloth, not directly to the lens.
4.2 General Care and Storage
- Keep the lens caps on when the sight is not in use to protect the lenses.
- Store the sight in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- If storing for extended periods, remove the battery to prevent leakage and potential damage to the electronics.
- The sight is waterproof and fogproof due to its nitrogen-filled, aerospace-grade aluminum alloy construction. However, avoid unnecessary exposure to harsh conditions or submersion.

5. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Goetland HD30 Red Dot Sight, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
- Dot Not Appearing:
- Ensure the brightness control knob is turned ON and set to a visible level (not '0').
- Check the battery. Replace the CR2032 battery if it is dead or low.
- Verify the battery is inserted with correct polarity (+ side up).
- Ensure the battery cap is securely tightened.
- Dot Appears Dim or Flickering:
- Replace the battery with a fresh CR2032.
- Clean the battery contacts inside the compartment and on the battery itself.
- Ensure the battery cap is fully tightened.
- Dot Not Holding Zero:
- Check that the sight is securely mounted to the rail. Tighten mounting screws if loose.
- Ensure the windage and elevation adjustment knobs are not loose or easily moved.
- Verify that the rail itself is stable and not loose on your equipment.
- Dot Appears Blurry or Distorted:
- This can sometimes be an optical illusion due to astigmatism. Try looking through the sight with your non-dominant eye or through a small pinhole to see if the dot appears clearer.
- Ensure the lenses are clean and free from smudges or debris.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, please contact Goetland customer support for further assistance.
